Timyi, I wish I could move to pearlridge, so I can shop…hehe. What is your PT job? My husband used to work full time at Pearl Harbor. The Naval Base provides day care service to employee’s kids. My son, Alex’s babysitter is a military wife. She is a Latina. I am trying to get Alex to preschool but many schools have long waiting lists. Seagull Kapolei may have opening this summer. If he is accepted, I will look for job closer to Waianae.
Tangirl, don’t be sad. I don’t even have family here. I have a big family in HK. I miss those days in HK with my family. Now, I only have my husband and my son here. I live in Waianae, so far away from town. I go to a temple on Sunday sometimes to see some Chinese friends. But now gas is so expensive. I try to save money and don’t go there every Sunday. I feel bored even I am on Oahu, only work and home, that is. I like the weather here though. It keeps me healthy. Hong Kong is too humid. I get sick easily when I go back to Hong Kong. Of course, I miss the food, the technology, the transportation… in Hong Kong. Things here are not up to standard. People are too lay back, too slow.

My son went back to Hawaii when he was 4 months old. He was very behave, things that he do were drink milk, sleep and play a little... no crying at all. By the way, we will be visiting again at july, I will see if he will have different reaction this time, because he had turned bigger and more naughty now. Woo, you live so far away from town. You must be very very bore.
aloha ar!! I actually moved to SF after I graduated from UH ar.. and then moved back to HK after working in SF for a few years lor... coz' my husband's family is living in HK arrrrr
my baby is 6 months old lar!! I want to come back to Hawaii with him for visit before he turns 2 coz' my parents are still living in Hawaii!!!
