I'm so busy in the past 1 month and the coming few months, even no time for Yiu's exam revision. I am very guilty as the exam result is really poor. Chinese even failed, only 52 and other subjects are not good as well. I need to reschedule the summer programme, put more efforts in helping her in building the foundations. I am really guilty as I think a P1 girl may need parent's guidance for revision.

my gal's sch. no more work after exam. Only play and play, with some leisure classes.

yiuyiu from good-English kinder, so chi. may be not that good. During summer, you can give her more chi. exercise to do + read books!!

btw, book fair is coming (Jul).

hope yr workload will not that heavy soon!!

in this p1 year. my gal really can read quite a lot. her classmates will share books with each other during recess. what a good habit!! i really appreaciate it v. much.

同意benben的講法,yiuyiu幼稚園注重英文,所以中文成績未如理想亦難免,唯有暑期谷谷佢.
相反,heihei的英文成績只是一般,尤其係grammar,所以我也會在暑假跟他惡補一下.
星期三,我也途經淺水灣喎,我哋到了赤柱睇龍舟+玩沙.

benben,
程程這麼喜歡看書,閱讀能力又高,真是可喜可賀.
我在圖書館借了"二年級問題多",內容十分有趣,heihei也很喜歡,但他沒程程咁叻,不願自己閱讀,要我伴讀.

i am also very appreicate of this habit as well! similar to Hei, Yiu can't read independently, needs me read and she just listen. I am waiting for that day!

yiuyiu sch. is really aggressive!!

final exam is not final. teachers want the gals keep on learning, non-stop!!

辛苦只是大人feeling, 小朋友慣性學習, 佢地無咩野既.
long term speaking. . . . .一定有進步!!!

reading habit - keep on reading with them, 用 d 辦法 tum tum 佢, 獎勵佢閱讀, 會更好!!

she now loves 喜羊羊 and therefore I bought 喜羊羊小說版. but I read, she will only listen. I think it's better than nothing and therefore continue, just hope one day she will read independently!

我初時也跟妳一樣,讀書給他聽,他第一本看的小說是特務喜羊羊.我讀了數節給他聽,便叫他自己帶回校閱讀,一段日子後,他便告訴我已經看完了.現在他的閱讀模式是：部分是由我講或讀的,另有部分是由他講或讀的.即使一些他能自行閱讀的圖書,他仍需要我陪著他讀.希望有一天他不再依賴我,可以自己享受閱讀.
所以,大家也不要放棄,keep住他們閱讀的習慣.終有一天,他們是可以自行閱讀的.

similar method I used before to my gal.

Tell her the story beginning, and then stop!! and asked her to continue reading it. IT WORK!!

Thanks both for sharing. I know this is good and therefore I keep on reading. Ha ha, she started 帶喜羊羊小說回校 yesterday, and she said she still want to bring it back to school next week.

Sometimes, she will ask the meanings for some 詞語 and i think this is the opportunities to absorb the knowledge.

細佬小一面試已經開始,上星期見咗音小,今個星期六見真道.今年的競爭比哥哥當年大很多,今年真道因為報名人數多,所以原定只安排兩天面試,要加多一天.細佬係細仔,真擔心

恐怕不能與哥哥一起上學了.
一個月後音小有結果,如果唔收,我就要同細佬大包圍了.
