Twins Ma,
Your twins are so smart!!
Well done!
My Hoyin can only say words and combine two words together (eg, drink milk, eat congee.....).
We are happy enough for his progress (he could only say "one" word when he was under 15 months).
Now he loves to speak and likes to say things again and again.
We really enjoy this moment now as we know that he will be able to say things back to us in the near future.
I m glad that he hasnt figure out how to open the gates at home otherwise I can cook anymore.
Hoyin is going to a few classes now (music, GYM, playgroup & coffee group (for ma ma).
I really enjoy going out with him but he hasnt started to feed himself yet as my 99 doesnt want him to make a mess.
I hope to try from this month!!!
Twins Ma,
Yes, I agree with you!
I do think that every bb is different and they have their own timetable for everything.
I m not too fuss about what Hoyin can do as long as he is not too behind.
I dont really teach him much now (I used to be very keen to teach him) as he has his own interest about what he wants to learn.
I just show him things that he is interested in.
He seems to be very happy about it (no more flash cards and PP many times per day).
I actually dont mind that he will make a mess when he eats by himself.
I m worried that he will make a mess at my in-laws when he stays there.
They have just replaced all their carpet for Hoyin.
Well, I cant think too much as he will do it anyway.
He loves to feed himself but hasnt developed the skills yet.
Do your twins eat the same things as you guys or you cook congee for them?
I still cook congee for Hoyin and he eats before we do.
I want to include him to have dinner with us but not sure whether I should give him what we eat (too salty?).
Please let me know what you do!!!
Thanks for your encouragement!!!
Twins ma,
Thanks very much for your sharing.
I have started to let Hoyin to eat by himself from today.
I start to do it in breakfast for a few days then add one more meal and then all meals.
He doesnt know how to use a spoon to get food but if I put good in his spoon, he can eat it.
He didnt make a big mess (small one) and I m glad about his achievement.
I really think that seeing him to learn to be more and more independent is wonderful.
I will add oil!!!!

Glad to know that hoyinma makes a big step forward of independence... he can eat by himself...
what I do with Joshua is just use his spoon to take abit of food and let him hold the spoon to feed himself... so that I hope the floor/table will not be too messy loh...
it sometimes works ... but I think I have still long way to go before success...
In addition, I find Joshua likes reading/playing puzzles... more than other activities... even when he meets some other little friends living in my estate also...so I think I have to bring him more to the playground and let him run, jump and play more laaa...
