Che,

from another perspective, your 99 knows you have high earning power. She feels secure and won't say a word. And 99 feels happy if you can be a good wife, good mother, good $$ earner then they would not intervene too much.

Of course, some 99s could be unreasonable. I will be 99 in the future......
