I showed piglet the Educ Lego sets last night, and he said he had played with sets #9610 Gears Set and #9614 Pulleys Mini Set during ECA in school.

They taught theory first - which piglet found boring.
The school had bought 10+ sets @ for the kids.

But of course being dai fai tung, he wants everything now.

I will hold my craving for Educ Lego until terms starts, to see whether he has time for it 1st.
Would also like to check with my SF cousin to see whether the educ resources suppliers have these at cheaper px first.

I haven't taken the IPA class(es), but :

Say "TAN", then say "TEN",
you will find that for "TAN", your mouth should open up vertically, whereas for "TEN", your mouth should open wide, horizontally.

See the difference ?

Tolai,

Say for example "Tan" and "Ten", they have diff IPA symbol.

"Tan" has the symbol of /tæn/
and "Ten" has the symbol of /ten/

So they have diff sounds.

Another example of "æ" and "e" sound is "Bad" and "Bed".

When you say the word "Bad", your mouth will open wide and round. Whereas your mouth will become flat when you say "Bed".

Can you get it?
