to London, BA and CX are most convenient. They can send you to Italian cities, via London and you may stopover at London upon inward or outward flight.
I think you may pick northern city like Milan as your first stop and then return from southern city like Rome (or vice versa). In this case, you may save travelling time and money.
Now, CX has direct flight to Milan. Not sure if you can take the direct flight to Italy and then return via London with a stopover.
Air France's network should also cover Italy and London but you have to route through Paris to reach both locations. Also a stopover at Paris is allowed.

milan我自己冇咩興趣, 應該都係去roma同venice, 其實florence都想去, 不過真係冇乜時間~
