Hello everyone!

I'm new here as I didn't aware you mamas have this topic before. My girl was also born in Aug 2004, her name is Megan! Nice to meet you all.... :)

Just wanted to share with you, my very bad experience with the "戊李e生". One of my friends was delivered her baby at the Union Hospital, she told me her doctor (Dr. Yu) was very good and the hospital was very good 2. She was highly recommended me to go there for my pregnancy checkup and also suggest me to have my baby to be given birth there. By that time, I was about 10 weeks and I haven’t made any firm decision and that’s why I went there for a try. My first impression for Dr. Yu was still ok, he has explained to our questions in a professional manner. Hence I have high blood pressure and therefore I belongs to the high-risk group, he had recommended me to do a scan at the Union Hospital which in-charge by the "戊李e生". Then the 2 of us were “sap ha sap ha” to go there. During the scan we have asked quite a number of questions because the "戊李e生" didn’t say much to us. The whole process took about 1 hr and at the end, he didn’t anything except he has discovered that there was a 水泡 in my baby’s brain. We were very sock and we have asked a lot of questions. However, he wasn’t able to answer ANY of them!!! His conclusion was, we need to go back again in 2 weeks time and do the scan again. Being my first pregnancy, of course, we were very nervous and we would like to know a precise answer as early as possible. We than went back to Dr. Yu’s clinic and ask for his opinion. We were arrived at 2:00 on time but at 3:00, I was told he was on his way back. At 4:30, he was still on his way back! My husband has to go back to the office by 5:00 and we were very upset by this arrangement. The nurse then inform Dr. Leung and he met us immediately. We explain to him about our frustrations and we told him about the opinion from 2 very famous 婦產科 doctors (Dr.陳煥

Hi Joshua ma, ester, alimum,

I got a few questions ar.... if I want to deliver at Union Hospital, I can have my antenanal visit at Prestige Medical Centre or join their package, is that correct? Is the Prestige Medical Centre located at the specialized clinic at Union Hospital? Will there be any difference on the quality of services between the two options other than price???

Let me answer your question (alimum + ester, pls help to supplement arr...

1. Prestige Medical Centre = a group of private practice obs doctors 組成既obs專科診所...they offer their patients to different hospitals such as St Teresa, Union...

Partners 有:
Dr Yu Kai Man (my obs doctor)
Dr Leung Kwok Ling (Ester's doctor)
Dr Tung Hiu Fong (Alimum's doctor)
Dr 戊李, etc.... (few more)

佢地既charge比一般obs doctor算平...around $400 each visit (include drugs + u/s)

佢地有三間clinics, TST/Shatin/TKO...and every doctor will be on duty to differetn clinics in different time-slots.

而個戊李is specialised in doing the structure u/s and so partners of the clinic will refer all the structure u/s to either him or Dr Ng. that 戊李 is 長駐 Union Hospital fetal centre...

they haven't offered any package for pregnant woman but I think the total charge is not sooo expensive...

As they work as a group, if one of the partners is on-leave or has urgent surgical treatment booking, other partners will offer help.

Of coz not all the partners there are famous... but in general, 見人見智啦...(just like other obs doctors, some say good and some say bad)...

For Union Hospital package, just like Carly... few thousand dollars... include (<12 obs visits) + pre-natal seminars + dental check (1 time)...

there are two/three obs doctor always on-duty at there (the famous one is Dr Connie Yuen)... they are not the partners of prestige medical centre... I've visited Dr Yuen but both I and my husband found she wasn't sooo nice as we thought before... (also behave 趕時間 + request you to see her next time...)... so we switched the obs check back to Dr Yu lor...
