Thanks for your birthday greeting ar. Yesterday when we sung the birthday song to HH, she's so exciting : clapping hands and "stared" at the cake & candle

Due to dry season, my 氣管炎發作 since last Sat, make me can't sleep well and cough all the time, the worse is I have no mood/energy to play with HH, very tire

haha, I'm not that 古靈精怪 ga, when I was young, I was very古肅/認真 tim, but I'm trying to make myself more easy 'coz I don't want Andrea to be another me :mrgreen:

I learnt the playing methods from playgroup, books & my sisters. I really find that teaching babies through happy playing is the most effective way, I enjoy so much to play with Andrea.

When you've time, we can go tea time any time ga, either at Causeway Bay or Diamond Hill (via 東隧 from North Point). It's really good for babies playing together, they can learn from each other and learn how to sharing.

in your case, do u think it's better for u to change another maid asap? My maid never reply me like that, which so far I'm quite satisfy with her (over 1 yr). It's very important to have a maid that can help u. It really not worth to pay her $$ and make u get mad

Finally, I’ve got the cheapest quotation!!! Remember last time I said that my ex-colleague found me the printing house which quoted $1.1 per word card and $1.8 per dot card at 260p cards? I’d ordered around 600 Chinese words, 200 English words and 1 set of dot cards.

Also I do think she has some sort of 感情with Tasha, cos today is Natasha's birthday and we were out the whole day. When we came home in the evening, I ask her to take a photo with Tasha since it's her birthday. She quickly go back to the kitchen and changed her top to look neater before taking that photo. The scene did make me soften a bit, but don't worry, I won't give in, this is too little pro compare to with the cons.

Thanks for the effort. I opened the webpage just now and took a glance at it, looks very promising. Will look at it in more detail maybe tomorrow.
The English words are definitely bigger than the GC's one.

Dear All,

We had a great time with Natasha today, she actually走三場today. We were out from 10.30am to 9.45pm. She was very very happy and very very tired. Imagine, she only took an 1hr nap and a 0.5hr nap in betweens. But still, she was so hyper that she just slept asleep a while ago.

Well... she had her first bite of cake at lunch (it was a cheesecake), after then when we went to another birthday party, as soon as she saw my cake, she wanted to grip it, very胃食. I only gave her one layer of the Black Forest Cake, I wouldn't let her had anymore even she still want it, then she cried so hard with very big drop of tears. We had to give her a biscuit instead before she stopped crying. It is really very very embarassing but very very funny too.

You know, the feeling is really very strange once I look back to the past year. How she grow from that tiny thing in my tummy into this litte angel/monster. Really very 感足! I miss her being very small and helpless but also satify with the little angel I have now.
It is a great feeling to be a mother of your child.

Same as Natasha, Ralph also is very 胃食 . Always wants to eat the adults' food. That's y they get a big body!!!

Ralph's face is getting much better now. Coz i saw the forum from BK, the mama recommend the " Emulsifying Ointment BP". It's a semi opaque waxy ointment, it's quite good for the baby's eczema.

I have a similar feeling as u, Lam Lam was 6 month olds on Dec 12, i'm already missing the past days, she has grew from 一垢飯 to now, very busy to learn everything around her, can't stop for a while!! 有d唔捨得! But of course i want to grow up much faster!!

The price is really great! I think the cost is even cheaper from making the card by myself on plain card. So regret that i've bought so much plain card before. Don't know how to handle the remaining cards. Would like to order the printed ones, but think that it will be wasting all the plain card...... But i think i would like to order 百科圖 later!

the flash card you found were very cheap ar, my sister is interested, may I know :

1. is there any word at the back of the 中英文字卡? (easier for us to teach baby)
2. 數學科 - any words/formular at the back?
3. 百科圖卡: any 智力綱領?
4. also, do they have level A to D, etc? 'coz I found in the web it's ~1000 cards for English cards only

may I know if " Emulsifying Ointment BP" similar to Vaseline? Andrea has a very sensitive skin which she can't use most of the cream (I tried Swiss Baby but she also have red "dots" after apply the cream). Currently she's using Vaseline during this dry season, but as u know, it's really oily, I wanna change it to other cream.

In summer, Andrea is using Aqueous Cream BP which is very good for her (it is cheap, too) :mrgreen:

No worry lah! I already guessed you probably thought Tasha's birthday is on 19 Dec. It's my mistake for not writing clearer.
Actually, we wanted have family gatherings only on 11 Dec and secondly there's another Dec baby holding his birthday on that day, therefore we will have to hold ours on the week after.

I tried to teach Tasha GC's english card, it's not very attractive to her. Wonder if it's because the wording is too small.

I think Tasha has too much entertainment these few weeks. She is not sleepy at all at night. She actually woke up many times last night and she is not sleepy at all now. My mum is trying to rock her but doesn't seems to work.

for GC set, they have different categories, which start from Baby's nearby stuff, eg, bottle, diaper, etc. 'coz if we need to order 1,000 pcs at once, it'll be too many lah.

For Andrea, she tried to "escape" while I'm teaching her the words. Also, I have 氣管炎these days, I stop the flash cards (again

)

Poor me (& Andrea), these days I couldn't sing/play with her too close as I'm afraid I'll affect her. And I need to keep my mouth shut, u know, I always talk a lot ma. Anyway, today I feel much better lah, will see doctor again tomorrow to get more medicine

Yeh, I also think that this price is really the cheapest one already! I think I can never print those words on the 300p cards with the printer at my home. They are using digital priniting which quality is great. I'd seen the samples, very eye-catching and might be better than the bought ones.
My ex-colleague's negotiation skill is really excellent. But I'm a little bit worry......she told me that she said to the printing house that there will be a lot of mothers ordering this kind of cards and asked them to give the cheapest quotation. I think the printing house wanted to 薄利多銷, that's why they could offer this lowest price. My worry is if our order is not as much as they think, they might withdraw their offer

. I think I will open a topic in 教育小組 to invite more parents to order so as to keep their offer

Thanks for asking those questions. It helps me to clarify most of your queries..... :-P . I forgot to say last time, we need to provide them the wordings (in word/excel file) and those 圖卡. They just help to print them out.

~ I'd asked them before whether they could print a small word at the back of the word cards for easy teaching, but they said that if doing this, that meant printing twice and the price would be doubled

! I think we better write it on the back by ourselves...... it's OK as what I'm doing now is writing daily on the new cards to be taught, spending less than a minute but save much money :mrgreen: !

2. 數學科 - any words/formular at the back?
~ Same as above

3. 百科圖卡: any 智力綱領?
~ They only print what you give. This one would be hard...I think I would 參考三之三 but we need to write the 10 智力綱領 at the back of the cards :cry: .

4. also, do they have level A to D, etc? 'coz I found in the web it's ~1000 cards for English cards only
~ In fact those english and chinese words in the web are for reference only. For a starter, can just print those words in the web. Or else, we still need to do some homework... type those words u want to teach your bb and then save them on a file for their printing. It's not that hard, last time I typed the 800 words in an excel, starting from those words which are commonly used in daily life, not much effort. Hehe... I also printed Anson's English and Chinese name and he can now recognise his names
