Hahaha... it is funny. I have joined a Hong Kong Island playgroup - Gymboree (Central), will you be interested to join? I joined the Sunday class, if you are interested, yo and Ali could be classmate!! I think it will be fun if they meet and attend school together!!

BTW, the Barbie birthday cake is really cute and beautiful!! Is it yo's cake?

Here's my personal comments:

Criteria.............. Which playgroup is good
Teacher.....................HeepHong and Gymboree
Environment..............Victoria, Gymboree, BrainBuilder
Content.....................HeepHong
English.......................Gymboree, Anfield
Price..........................HeepHong, Mong kok, MIT
Kinder-like Program....Anfield, Victoria
Students/class...........BrainBuilder, Gymboree
Space/student............BrainBuilder, Gymboree
Venue........................<none near my home>

The venue is really nice, you can see from the website. Not many students per one class, kids at 1yr old need space for them to walk and run and explore, this is something that HeepHong could not give me. Last week, I got a slot for HeepHong 1yr old class, but I turned it down due to this reason.

Welcome... I am just a "hard-playing" mum... Ali enjoys playing very much, it worths if you see how happy the baby is.

Forgot to mention, another reason I dropped HeepHong is the language, Ali tends to pay more attention to the teacher's instructions at Gymboree than at HeepHong, one major reason is that the teacher at Gymboree speaks in English. I found Ali likes people talking in English and Mandarin than Cantonese...

個Barbie蛋糕係我亞嫂送比佢架，其實我唔係咁鍾意Barbie，我比較喜歡sesame street。
你咁遠水路都要帶AliB返playgroup，你真係個好媽媽，只可惜我Sunday通常要返church，如果唔係我都好想亞女同AliB做同學仔。

It was my first time to Victoria Kindergarden last Sat. Not surprisingsly, the environment there is really good... I mean at least compare with the Shek Kip Mei playgroup and MIT... the things there are new, the area for toddlers to play is large and clean. I think if our Shek Kip Mei playgroup was held in there, our babies must have lots of fun ... wooooo....

The size of class is okay, maximum 15 toddlers.
Mss Chow is okay laaaa, and I agree Rebecca (the foreign teacher) is abit... but I think in my view, for a 1 yr old toddler likes Joshua (only in exploration stage), to feel the environment of a kindy, wear 'uniform', eating little cakes with other toddlers, singing with the teachers... that's enough for him... coz Joshua is not a smart baby ... hee hee

The content of the playgroup... both my husband and me feel it's abit like the mix of MIT+ SKM... they get some exercises for toddlers to train their large and small muscles (like SKM), some 'painting' sessions (actually scribbles) (MIT) ...

Maybe my standard is very low, I feel it is okay laaa... at least Joshua listens to both of them and enjoys the singing session. Plus the school fee is not expensive (abit cheaper than Shek kip mei playgroup... $800 per month, 4 nos. 2-hr sessions) so, I think I'll continue the Vic playgroup at least for few more months...

Good morning all: 放左幾日假, 其實好忙, 總算都有休息下, 但我發現自己e排仲輕過未生前 開始新低, 我冇食少野, 下午仲要食埋tea, 噚日去探99, 佢問我黠解好似瘦左甘, 我只有話"係, 我減緊肥", 雖然輕左但唔知黠解個肚仲好似有左4個月甘

講開 playgroup, 我個朋友都叫金仔去上咩鬼 kindermusic, (唔知有無串錯字) 上堂, 佢地話好喎, (你都知我無 nn 咁 pro 架啦), 我剛剛報左名 lu, Sat 11:30-12:30, 好似 under $150 個鐘, 因為金仔同埋4個朋友仔一齊上, 所以佢由9月尾開始, 星期六要返兩個playgroup lu, 唔知佢頂唔頂得順呢

唉...呢幾晚, 金仔都訓得唔好, 成日醒, 昨晚仲醒左, "me"埋眼喊左成半個鐘, 好似好驚咁, 真係心痛 c, 你地有無人俾BB食過珍珠未呀, 係咪真係可以定驚, 睇怕金仔呢次真係嚇驚左


sonic 終於知道隻工人衰喇, 因為呢兩日, 同d 朋友講開金仔整親, d 朋友都覺得好嚴重, 又同佢講個工人唔要得, 加上金仔呢幾日都好痴身, 晚上又驚醒, 所以佢都 agree 炒佢喇........今日同個agent 傾傾先
