No offense to your comments, but just to clarify the criminal law in Canada. If he (the Murderer) is convicted of first degree murder, he will be sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole for 25 years. The calculation for those 25 years begins when the person has been arrested and placed in custody, not when they are convicted and found guilty. There is no discretion on the part of the judge; that is the minimum sentence and it is automatic.
After his time is served in prison on a sentence for his first degree murder, he still needs to report to a parole officer for the rest of his life. If he fails any of the requirements that are set out in his conditions of release on parole, there is no hearing and he will go right back to jail.
No la, with 1st degree murder, he is very high in chance of getting a life sentence, which a 25 years imprisonment with no parole eligibility.
No vacation or days will be deduced from his term.
