is there a way to file complain to Canada Post about their employee?

Today, the person who delivers me the package is giving me an attitude (very rude).

i have a friend (not living in canada), but he wants to open a small IT firm in toronto. where to find information for him? or do you know what will be the budget? thanks.

what kind IT firm he wanna set up? Just consulting? You can ask Yukimommy because she is an IT consultant.

haven't come in for a while and just saw my name in the first post....

anyway, what would your friend like to know?

I would suggest he better not open a firm immediately because all companies here look for local experience (unless his experience in HK is very high profile). I suggest he may want to look at the contract job market first and see what kind of service the market needs here.

Yes ar , coz i will migrate to Toronto next year. And i would like to find some information right now even i'm not pregnant yet. (依家努力緊:lol:) i'm afraid quite hard to find it and little bit worry when i'm pregnant over there.(事關老公又吾走住)

he has a 30 person IT firm in india, working on all types of freelance job. he had got a lot of job in toronto, so he wants to open a small firm here, hiring 3-4 person. but he does not know what should he do and the budget.

Hi ckkwkl,
since he already has contracts here, then that's a different story. I guess he is quite ready to have a small firm here.

I guess the things he will need to budget for are:
1. rents
2. equipment leasing
3. salary for his staffs
4. consulting insurance

Rents depends on locations and I guess he can find those information easily on the web. www.mls.ca already have properties listed for lease.

equipment leasing can also be done through places like Dell or IBM.

salary ranges greatly from 60K-100K (plus benefits) per employee depends on skills and seniority. This will be his greatest expense and it is definitely not comparable to India. Hiring sales professional vs technical professionals are also different. Sales professional can be base salary+commission, but the out-of-pocket expenses like travel, dining etc. are also very expensive.

consulting insurance is expensive, it ranges from $3K to over $10K per year depends on the complexity of his consulting work.

Let me know if he needs further information. So far I have not come across any website to describe things above, but I am sure the statcan site or revenue canada site may provide similar information, though I think their numbers are too conservative.

In Toronto, to hire "pui yuet" isn't that hard. My friend hired one which is an older lady; that costs her around $1200 for that month. The duty is basically discussed with the person. Mainly should be just cooking for you and taking care of the baby. Some may do housework for you.

My friend charge higher than that price, I think... If you need the service, you can contact me and I will give you both persons info.
