We go to Golden Gate Park which is only a few blocks away from our home. There's a little kids' playground with swings, slides and play structures as well as sand pool. Quite a bit of parents and kids would go there. Yes, you are welcomed to join us. When you would come to SF? Are you excited? Everything's packed?

Dear Rose-mag, we will stay in Hayes Street. It should be closed to Golden Gate Park. We will take off on the 10th April....yes, very excited...but sad too....We are working on the packing stuff everynite....Can't wait to see you...

yes, Hayes Street is closed to Golden Gate Park but GGP is really big, it starts from Inner Richmond to the seashore. Hayes Street is closed to one end of GGP and I live in Inner Richmond and it's somewhat over 10 blocks away from the end of Hayes Street. Doesn't matter, we can hook up together anyway. Going to the park is good for kids as they can hang out there playing or see other kids playing. Also, you can meet a lot of mothers or grandmothers there. I met some before and we really had good talk. Too bad that one of them we met several times have moved to East Bay 2 months ago.

Oh.... need help again la..... even I'm a full time mama, as I always stay in my 99's home and in her home, no internet, so I can't check and reply mail.... sorry, alway only can ask questions here....

oh go back to my problem...... 3 days later, Alfred is 5 mth old and he now 開始出牙仔!可能因為咁!這2天他顯得唔開心和唔肯食奶樽!我又唔夠人奶!所以現在開始比糊仔佢.1日4歺,每歺先黎15分鐘BF(2邊),then用1.5OZ奶沖1匙BB米糊〔匙是奶粉內沖2○z奶的匙)而每天中午亦有1歺4份1个蘋果.
Alfred 通常都差不多可全部食晒!但我有点擔心佢是否夠飽和吃奶的份量少了那麼多有無間题?他可接受用匙吃東西,但咀咀惦到奶咀就喊好慘!
昨天,他於大約10食完人奶和糊仔後,可於今早8時才醒,醒時仲同我笑!是否表示他昨晚夠飽?
I will keep on to feed him BF, but want to make sure whether I need to give more milk (pumped milk or formula) or not, if needed, I can feed milk to Alfred by using a spoon, but of cause, it will take much longer time to finish 5 oz formula....

Rose-mag, great to hear that. One more month to go and I will be in SFO. Both Isaac and I got sick these two days....this is the first time Isaac got sick...poor him....

Poor you and Isaac, do you have flu? Check Isaac and give him more water if he's willing to take. Amanda drank a little bit when I fed her with a spoon. I have just started feeding her with rice cereal and she's okay. The first day I fed her, she did not really know how to open her mouth to take it. Yesterday, she's very excited to have the rice cereal and she opened her mouth when the spoon was near her. It's really cute to see her waving her arms and open her mouth for the food.

Spencer turned 2 years old yesterday and I brought a homemade cake to the daycare. Some older kids sang happy birthday to Spencer and he somewhat enjoyed the atmosphere. But, most of the kids preferred yogurt to the cake. Finally, I took more than 1/2 of the cake home...my hubby was a little upset that the kids did not like his cake (he made it and I decorated it). On Saturday night, we had a little dinner party with friends and families. Spencer sat with my hubby and I took care of Amanda. To my surprise, Spencer behaved quite good and he ate by himself most of the time. He used a spoon to eat the ice-cream cake and he even offered a spoonful to one of the uncles... I'm happy to see him grow but sort of feel lost too... I don't know when he would grow up and does not want to stay with me...

I was sick for a whole week.. can't even get out of bed.. and it spreads to Amanda and Gabriel..
Glad that Gabriel still BF.. so his condtion is even better than Amanda.

Jackie,
I would like to make a statement clear.
Infant within 1 year old should be fed by Breast milk or Formula each meal and from 6- 12 months, they can have a try on solid food (associated food).
6months old should start with 1 solid food per day,
7-8months old can increase to 2 solid food per day,
if he can cope well, can increase to 3 solid food per day by 9-10 months old

Unless your child is over 75% percentile, too much solid food may lead to underweight because they did not get enough calories from solid food. (once their stomach filled up with solid food, they can't drink milk).
they should get most of their nutrition from Breast milk and formula, NOT from solid food.

For Teething, you can offer teething biscuit, teething rattle, teething ring, use the cloth to massage his gum, frequent small meal will help.

Yes, we got flu....it's so scary in HK because 4 kids died may due to mutation of the influenza.....
Isaac is doing better. I will stop giving him medication tomorrow. I coughed a lot, but it's much better now.
Happy Birthday to Spencer....Isaac is quite fuzzy these days....he likes the rice cereal with Strawberry flavor and hate the rice cereal with banana flavor. I am thinking of giving him congee when I come back from Prague. We will go to Prague & budapest tomorrow nite and come back on the 24th.

Hi Nillie, we just came back from Prague two hours ago. Isaac was doing good. He slept almost 11 hours during a 13 hours flight. I hope he will do the same during our flight to San Fran. two weeks later.

Any change should be made for Andrea's diet? She's now having milk 3 times a day, should I keep it this way? As she has breast milk at most of the time, I still have 1.5 can infant formula, can I let her finish it? it usually takes around 3 months for 1 can.

how about pillow? should I give her pillow now?

It's a 3D blueberry cheese cake, very yummy, Andrea likes it a lot, but I only let her tried a little only.

I forgot to ask for my friend. Her baby was born on March 7, but the baby's breath was not good so he stayed in nicu + pedi ward for 12 days. My friend failed to skin to skin as he's completely used to the bottle during his long stay in hospital. Is there anything she can do now? without baby's stimulation, my friend doesn't have enough milk only thru pumping, she wants to bf a lot...

Alfred 巳經停咗糊仔10日,出了2只牙了, 但他這段時間勁"柯屎", 每天有5至9次, 但每次數量不多, 而且BB食得, 玩得, 瞓得, 很精神, 睇過2次醫生都仍然是每天柯5至9次屎...都唔知why???

hee hee.. when Amanda was young.. (about 6 months 7months old), we took flight pretty often, she usually slept like Isaac..

.. an angel in the flight that I could say!

We cross our fingers for the coming trip..
Dear.. remember take more photo with your parent and Isaac.. and keep them in scrapbook or album.. that is going to help you to overcome your homesick.

Good job boy.. have 2 teeth already!
