Something wanted to share with u!

Remember last time I told u that Anson would run away if I read story book with him? Yesterday, he himself took a story book (Noddy) and sit on sofa reading by himself. When I walked to him, he told me those things he saw on the book, like rainbow, car, cloud, sun, mountain, Noddy, bird and 警察

.

Tonight, he sit still on the sofa until I showed him 10 flash cards.....and asked for more after I finished

. I hope he is not 三分鐘熱度啦!

Do u set up X'mas tree at home? We just set it up last night. Anson was so excited and always walked to the tree and asked us to turn on the lights for him. He is very happy to have a X'mas tree at home

Emulsifying Ointment BP is more 杰 than Vaseline .It's like a wax. According to the BK moms, I use it during Ralph's bathing as a shower gel. It is very good to keep skin hydration. Actually it is not very oily coz i use it as a shower gel. After bathing, i also put some Aqueous cream to Ralph.
Or u can use it as a cream, if Andrea skin is really dry. Emulsifying Ointment BP is specially for the sensitive skin, don't worry la.
I bought from Waston store, it's quite cheap $45 per big bottle.

Wah!!! Anson is very clever!!!! That's y he looks very 老積 !!!!

That's really an encouragement, Anson told u a lot of words on the book. Keep going to teach la.

I aslo want Ralph can do that but he can't say anywords up to now. He only knows the words mama , baba and wooo!!! :cry:
Really don't know how many words he knows ?????

Take care! Andrea must be very boring these days without a 鬼馬 mama around. Hope u recover very soon.

I'm also not feeling uncomfortable these days, my mouth suddenly 發炎, at first i think it was a 飛滋, but it lasted for 3 days and is very very painful. I go to see a doctor and he can't see a 飛滋 but said that it 發炎. I have take the medicine but it still very painful, esp. eating, has difficult on biting. Therefore really not in a mood to teach Lam Lam thing.

Also, it's so happy to know how smart is Anson. It's good to be a full time mom that we can always see our baby's first, those sweet memories are our reward . :mrgreen:

I feel much better lah.
This time, I asked the doc to give me "重藥" 'coz I want to recover asap. haha, once I took the medicine, dizzy dizzy & dizzy. It's really not easy to be a mom :mrgreen:

P.S. : have u try "咸甘吉水"? it's very good for sore throat ga

Sorry to hear that u got that sore throat! Remember to drink a lot a lot of water ah. Last time (few weeks ago) I got sore throat as well, very painful, like the throat being cut :cry: . Then I took the 自制白醋 before sleep, the sore throat was gone next morning. I don't know if it's because of that 白醋or not coz I only tried that once.

自制白醋
- 食用白醋
- Garlic
Soak the Garlic into the vinegar in a jar and keep refrigerated. It can be taken after a week. Just take 2 spoons of that mixed vinegar into a cup of water.
I learnt that from 肥媽 in a magazine and having Chinese Doctor comfirmed it helps to cure light flu and 發炎.

Hehe....sounds weird, but I try to make it just because it's easy to make, 好過食咁多西藥, 大家不防試下 :-P !

Hey! You don't be so 心急啦! Ralph is only 11mths old, he has been doing well to say baba, mama la. You know Anson started to say so many words in his 16/17mths. He knew how to say Daddy in his 4mths but only said mami in his 17mths

Don't worry! Ralph will be learning fast with your teaching :mrgreen: !

I don't think Anson is smart, I just think it's the normal path of his growing and I don't compare him with other bb as well. I would take him what he is now. And I'm very happy to be with him as he always surprises me and gives me sweet memories

I agree with u that "not to compare with others".

I've read a book "如何令寶寶身強體健" by Glenn Doman, which below is very impressive to me. He said every baby is unique, don't compare your baby with others, but to compare"作日的他".

Once u found your baby has improvement (eg, he held the 單槓 1 second yesterday but can hold the 單槓 5 second today, he has improved), you need to give him encouragement, big hug to let him know that how great he did.

He also made an example, when you're young, when someone told u that you did very well at something (eg, u played badminton very well), you'll try your best to do it better, so you'll do it better and better with lots of improvement.

However, when someone told u that you did terrible at something, you may want to give up or won't show to others any more (ie, won't play badminton with others).

That's the reason why GD request us to clap hands/applause our baby after finished flash cards, which I agree a lots.

Thanks so much for your interesting method, i've finished all the medicine by the doctor, but still not recovered completely. Therefore would like to try, would like to confirm that your drink the 白醋 or just use it to 漱口?

Haven't try 咸甘吉水 yet, cause no stock of 咸甘吉 at home, i've made one bottle last year, but need to wait for 1 more year, hehe.....

Appraising BB really works! You know when I just became a ft mom, I always scolded him for what he'd done wrong. But I found that he would purposely do the wrong thing in front of me again later

. Then I think it over and started to change myself. I talk to him and tell him that's not correct and tell him that he is a good boy for not doing the wrong thing. His response is very positive and always tries to be a good boy by not doing wrong things :mrgreen: . Now I always call him 'good boy' after he helps me doing somethings (like tidying up the toys and place

).

Please share more of this kind of good books with us ah!

I've read the book of "如何令寶寶身強體健" as well, but found some difficult on applying the method, such as hanging bb on a 單槓. I practiced w Lam Lam using my thumb only, she like playing it and can hold for a few second. But she become more and more heavier, i found it hard to hold her anymore.

It's quite difficult to find or make the equipment described in the book for BB to practise!!

Yes, some of the "equipment" suggested by GD are difficult to make & I think it's a bit "dangerous" tim.

My brother-in-law helped me to make a 單槓 on the door (can take out anytime), and 2 hooks (for hanging the hand made swing) at the living room

However, Andrea doesn't like to hold herself, she just like to reach the 單槓 but not to hold up herself.

I also let Andrea to hold my thumb, but result same as 單槓. Anyway, I just let her play once a while.

One interesting game u may play with baby - let your baby hold your thumb (u also hold her figures), and let her 倒後行 , Andrea loves it a lots. I read from book that 倒後行 can stimulate different parts of brain (it's good for adult as well)

Yesterday night, i taught Ralph how to do fly Kiss about two times, after that he really did it. He's so funny as u know he gets a big hands!!!!
After watching about 1 month phonic kids, Ralph seems knowing the ABC...., He always says A and crawl to the poster when i ask him which one is A .

Wow! Ralph is learning so fast. It must be very funny seeing him doing the flying kiss with his big hand

! You know, it's really a very good exercise to hold him walking around the hall yesterday :mrgreen: . I think you may try to hold only one of his hands when you let him walk. He could do it! Just try not to make him too rely on holding both hands. He may know how to walk by himself when we see him next time
