My husband and his family strongly encouraged me to breast feed, I have milk but the baby refused to suck, only sucked a little and cried. C6 and family forced me to continue...my bb went into ICU in day 3. Some babies don't want to suck, the bottle is much easier than the nipple. He was fed powder in the ICU cause I could not go in. After tasting the good stuff (easy to suck and sweet), he resisted breast feeding even more. So I had to pump it out as a snack instead of his main meal.
So please don't force people to breast feed if it is not working out....it can kill the baby!
