so what is price of this Advent Calendar ah if we walk in to buy it, should it be higher than HK$299, I'm interested in it also.

I'm afraid not cos they charged me at pre-order price of $299 mainly due to their apology for wasting my time to get to their shop for item that was out of stock.

The Castle Advent Calendar is available at pre-order px of $299 for VIP membership.
But as I said, I'm not sure whether 1 VIP member can order n sets or only 1 set.
Let me check this out first, after I've dealt with the membership issue.

LSW,

If you like minifigures then you will like the annual issues of Advent Calendars. Otherwise if you only like sets then you will find the Advent Calendars tooooo sup sui.

Re : Cite Bookshop (城邦書店)

Since LSW said she couldn't contact Cite on the phone last night, I went over to take a look to see whether they were still there, or already closed.

Turned out the bookshop was still open, but all the telephone lines have been cut already ==> no phones, no calls.

They will cont to sell their books until early early Nov, but of course it would be safer to shop on or before 31 Oct la.

The new shop is under renovation, also on Hennessy Rd, very near existing shop, and is on 1/F. But will open in early Nov, there will be a few days gap in between.

And for the time being, cos all phone lines in the existing shop have been cut, can only buy books in cash. ALL credit cards, EPS, etc are not accepted.

So, LSW, when will you go there with your son ?
Wed (today) or Fri ?

I will show up to collect my books from you,
and if possible, RMM will also go there to buy some books to make up to total 10 books and enjoy the 35% discount.

yes, if it is $299, i would like to buy one set for my son at Christmas present and ask him to open day-by day.

When I checked with the shop of the vip discount on the advent calendar before I bought it. The girl told me that vips have to submit their order before the deadline early Oct to get the discount rate wor.

That day you said you were buying, did you pre-order, or did they have stock and you could take it away ?
Maybe that's the difference.

But VIP pre-order should be for the whole month of Oct ga woh !

(That's why I didn't like the shop, their policies are very uncertain and everybody says diff things.)

I found that I could buy 2 VIP sets in late Apr, so unless they say they have diff policy now, I should be able to buy 1+ sp VIP px sets.

You know these small shops, they can SAY they changed their policy anytime.

Maybe tell them that these are Xmas presents loh haha.
