Slightly cheaper than the one I bought in early 2008 woh (when we bought Town Plan, Mkt St etc) :
Lego px US$139.99, plus US$7 shipping to US address, plus US$12.13 sales tax, plus US$28.89 airmail US ==> HK, ttl approx US$188, i.e. HK$1494.20.

Actually I'd like some (2) Lego items from US but you know I don't know how to bid

If I decide that I really want it, can you help me bid for it ?

Is the US$48.50 postage in courier service or just air mail? What will be the price difference if you buy it in HK? 20%off?

Kv has just finished his violin G2 exam this morning. Results will be known 7 weeks later.

Went to CP and bought the newly released 2 issues of 喜羊羊 (vol 7 & vol 8). $35@ less 15%

I went to Ms. Wan's shop on Sunday. She seemed to understand what mummies wanted more than her male colleague, but her price was even more expensive than the first quote, with many add-ons (e.g. for better drawers etc). I nearly gave her deposit to do measurement but since I was in a hurry to pick up my son, I didn't. I went to North Point again on Monday & went into another shop recommended by someone else, just in case. There, I committed! It has displayed some kids' furnitures & that's really what I wanted. They can only give me designs/sketches on Sun. I hope I choose the right one. My daughter was so pleased. She showed the man (doing measurement) to her room - at the age of 4!

Does any of you order Singtao kids' newspaper through their school? Is it good? Unfortunately my son's school is not contracted with Singtao & I can't subscribe to it at all!

The shop is on Java Road called Life Style. I gave them 10% deposit & did actual measurement on the same day, but they need 1 week to get back to me with the first draft - too busy - and 1 month to deliver! My daughter and I are both anxious to see the real thing. But have faith that it should look better than an amateur's design - i.e. me!

Yes, Goodies for eng & a chinese version. Too bad Singtao cannot accept my order without going through a school!!!! I dare not ask you / RMM to help cos it's really quite troublesome on an ongoing basis! But $1 is really very inexpensive!

Goodies has a home delivery plan, but it cost $3.5/per copy. I have order via this plan. They will mail the newspaper to the home address.

Just learnt the layoff by Goldman Sachs & DBS today. It's happening up close & personal! I think some more is coming before CNY! Sigh! Better cut some shopping!
