For the flash cards, Andrea only shows interested on the 百科圖, when I show her words cards, she'll [size=medium]RUN AWAY immediately.
So, when I shown her the words of body (English), I touch the part of her body, like shaking her shoulder, hands to make her feel interesting. however, it's hard for me to do similar play with her for other words
Natasha took her 1-year-old injection last week and if there's going be any reaction, it should be sometime of now till next Thursday. Hope she'll be fine lah.

How's Lam Lam now? Must be extra careful with this kind of unstable weather. You must take care of yourselve too, don't let yourselve to wear out.
I am so busy lately. My parents left and my sis-in-law is back in town for two weeks. Carl and I has just started the Baptised Class last week and we have homework to do everyday since end-Dec till mid-March. Time is running short for the LLB, exams fall in mid-May. And of course the maid thing too lah.

HH's "請請" 手勢 is so cute and if she asks for more flash cards by doing this, it must be very funny.
In fact, last time Anson didn't like word cards as well (maybe he is a bit 'older' for starting the flash cards), but after I played the 'card searching game' with him, he likes word cards very much. I would put 5-10 word cards on the floor after I'd showed him several times these cards, and speak out one of the cards and ask him to find for me, no matter he can pick the right one or the wrong one, he feels interesting. That aroused his interest in word card again.

That day, Anson didn't sleep on the way home and worst still, after arrived home, he seemed no sign of sleepy too. After I took bath for him, he played for a while before he could 乖乖上床. It was 5:30pm already. Maybe he was too excited in the party and got a bit hyper-active afterward :mrgreen: !
He'd recognised Uncle Carl already. I asked him if Tasha was sleeping on the ferry, he said yes and he said Uncle Carl as well.
Same situation with u, Ralph shows interested on the 百科圖, the others when i show to him, he also RUN ALWAY quickly.

The beach in DB is near pier, it is a good suggestion we can have a gathering in there during summer time . A lot of kids in there during summer time.
Regarding the DWE consultant,no one contact up to now. How about u?Also, the time table i had sent to Mrs.Cheng a long long time ago but no response up to now.
But Ralph seems very interested the DVD of play along 1 now. He always follow the action showing in DVD such as open and close hand, clap hands, bye bye, hello....., So now i only show to him the play along DVD
Anson learn really fast!!!
He already recognised Uncle Carl after meeting him twice. What a brainy kid!

Same here, no one called from DWE, although Mrs Cheng did call, but I think she wanted me to buy the Big Science first before giving me the schedule therefore I didn't return her call cos Carl hasn't got time for the Big Science at the moment and I don't really want anymore unnecessary thing stocks in my home for the moment.
Tasha also loves Play Along 1 and she loves to listen to some of Play Along 2's songs. Just wondering if I should increase the load by adding in Sing Along too.

Is Lam Lam sleeping better now?
Tasha slept very badly last night. After she bumped her head to the piano isle, she woke up at 1am and cried very hard for about 10 minutes before going back to sleep. Then she was wide awake from 2am to 4.30am, I tried everything to make her go to sleep but failed. She finally slept at around 5am and wakes up again at 8am. Really rough night for me too cos I only went to bed at 1am last night, therefore practically no sleep at all. Thank god I have an appointment with the massage lady this morning.
May I know how many times u'll let your babies watch DWE a day?
Now I let Andrea watch twice a day, sometime when I was busy, I'll let her watch 3 times, which I know it's too much...
just to share with u, I normally let her watch different dvd a day, she almost watch all the dvd including Zippy sing along & Zippy & his friends (except the program - basic abc). She loves them all.
She now always do : bend to the back/knee (do exercise per Zippy), jump (but feet still on the floor), turn right & left (actually she wants to follow "turn around" but can't do it ), very funny.

there's a dvd "Do the alphabet" by Sesame street which is very interesting, both Andrea & me love it, can buy it in HMV
Wah! I only let Ralph watch DWE playalong and phonics kids i time a day. He seems not interested Zippy and sinalong DVD. Sometimes if i'm quite busy, i'll let him watch 2 times a day. Most of the times i only play the CDs. Coz i'm afraid he will be 四眼仔.
Can i know how many times u show to Andrea the flash cards? I only show to Ralph 2-3 times a day. Coz he only interested the 百科圖, i only show to him 1 set(5 cards)the Chinese, Eng and dot cards a day. Actually i couldn't follow the book, show 5 sets of cards a day. :cry:

I know 3 times DVD is a bit too much for baby, so I try to keep her watching not more than 2 DVD a day. But now it's too cold to play downstair/playground which I used to let her play there for 1 hr.
I plan to let andrea to attend 3 playgroup a week during weekday, so she won't feel too bore at home.
For the flash card, I start playing 百科圖 to her after the new year holiday 3 times a day. for the word cards, I only show 1 or 2 times, maybe none a day 'coz she still run away when she see the word cards

Don't give up ah. Anson now loves word cards very much. I'm now flashing 3x5 chinese words and 3x5 english words to him, 3-5 times a day. It works well!
But for the dot cards, I don't know how it works cos he seems interested in it but I don't know how to play with him....I always flash the 1-15 dots (3x5) to him and only 1or2 times a day ?-( ! Do you know how should I do????

It seems Anson is now 厭了phonics kids. He now loves 動畫 more.
Saturday, we went to 大陸書店again and bought a 宝宝聽看雙語樂園 ($36 - 8折, with 3vcds), it's english and mandarin chanting those commonly used words (like phonics kids) in 30 topics. I just started this morning, hope he could pick up some mandarin from that cos my mandarin is 有限公司 :mrgreen: !
Wah! The flash cards really works on Anson!!!He seems quite interested on it. U show to 3-5 times a day.
I try my best to show the word cards to Ralph at least 2 times a day but he always run always when i show the cards to him. I tried to put him in the highchair then he couldn't run alway. But it doesn't work :evil: He don't look at the cards :evil:
I also bought the CD of 唐詩三百首 to Ralph, hope he can have some concept of Mandarin.

Wah, we take Andrea attending 3 playgroups a week. Do u think it is quite 辛苦呀?BYW, Andrea can walk by herself now?for Ralph, i think he can walk by himself, but he lacks of confident to do plus he is quite lazy :evil:
Lam Lam still got sleeping problem, she usually wake up at 1:00 a.m. and won't go to sleep again even after breastfeeding!
I've to rock her into sleep, the period of rocking quite various every day. The worst case is that she has been fussy for 3 hours.
Yesterday nite is much better, only rocked her for half hours, but she wake up again at 5:30a.m.
I wonder that she don't need any rocking or just a short time in day time! Maybe she is teething. I wonder how long will be the teething process lasted, i've been tolerant for 2 weeks already!!

After teaching 1-20 dot card, u could go to second step, that's teaching addition, you could teach 3 formula in one session, totally 9 formula (using the combination of 1-20) will be teaching in a day. The addition part will be lasted for 14 days. You could keep teaching other number onwards.
After teaching additon, u may jumped to substraction w similar method. Then multipation and lastly is division. After multipation, u may teach number zero first before going into division.
I'm using the ppt which download fr tina's website for teaching Lam Lam's Math, i think it's more convenient. I've teaching 25-30 and addition to Lam Lam now. She seems OK about them!
Same as Andrea and Anson, Lam Lam quite enjoy playing flash card these days, my content including:
2 set Chinese couplets
1 set encyclo card
3 set Chinese words (ppt)
1 set Math (21-30) (ppt)
1 set addition (ppt)
3 set encyclo ppt
Sometimes i will using the retired Chinese word card for making phrases to her.

I learn from book that baby at 10mth to 18 mths are not easy to concentrate for playing flash cards, so I just try to keep this as a habbit for Andrea.
Re : playgroup
actually, these playgroup are quite fun for her to play with other babies, not really education. Mostly they'll sing, dance, listen to story and doing a 小手工, quite interesting.
Also, 2 of the lessons are taught by a native English speaker, and it's only 10 mins drive from my house & it's cheap ($600 for 8 lesson) :mrgreen:
