I used Pentax Optic W20 camera. It is waterproof and works under 5 feet depth water for 30 minutes. The photos of fishes and corals are taken by this camera.
It costs $1620 (with 1G memory card) if u buy it in 中原電器 with AIG credit card. I think u could consider to buy this camera as summer is coming, we can take a lot of pictures for our kids in beach and swimming pools....

I guess you check whether Fotomax sell 即棄水底相機 or not......

We went Sabah from 13/4 - 17/4 5D4N. Weather is good. Sunny day & temp was around 33C.

Hi!

I would like to go there in mid-June, I wonder which hotel is better / suitable for us (with a 1.5 years old boy), I'm thinking STAR or Magellan? Any idea?

I've checked that if I travel by Dragonair, I can have better flight time (morning flight departure and evening flight return) for 4 days, if 5 days, the return flight should be in noon time, I shall waste half day la!!! Is 4 days enough???

Sport shoes & sandals are okay...... This tour is only a river cruise. I mean :
1. A coach picked you up in your hotel to the River Cruise centre (actually it is only a hut :lol: ).
2. After you got off from the coach, you just walked 7 - 8 minutes to the pier.
3. Have a very simple afternoon tea at the pier.
4. Get on a speedboat with your guide.
5. Stay in the speedboat for 2 hours.
6. After finishing the cruise, you have a simple dinner at the pier. The taste is okay la.... suitable to children.
7. Get on the coach again and returned your hotel.

I lived in STAR (ie. downtown). It took about 90 minutes to hotel. If you lived in a remote hotel eg. Nexus, it took over 2 hours. :-x :-x

For river cruise, please remember to bring.
1. Raincoat for children. If possible, also for adult.
2. Insect repellent
3. A binocular
4. A bag or an empty bottle for children to 'liu liu'.

BTW, tongiht I eat the tiger prawn bought in Sabah. Very yummy, yummy.....

If you like prawn, you must buy it.
I only buy I pack for me.... it is not enough.... :cry: :cry:

I lived in STAR but not Magellan. The outlook of Magellan is okay. However, I felt STAR is very good.
For me, 5 to 6 days are better as you want to enjoy your holidays...

Schedule to Mamutik Island from STAR is 9am 10am & 11am and from Mamutik Island to STAR is 11:30am, 12:30 and so on.
It only takes 8 minutes to the island.

Sorry, I don't have exact addresses.
For chicken rice, just go to Segama Road / Street.
For seafood, go to Ocean Seafood Village.
You just simply tell the hotel staff or taxi driver of the names of these famous resturants.

if you don't know the addresses.

It seems a big problem to prepare congee in hotel for me.
In the buffet breakfast, there are plain congee. I think the hotel staff don't mind if you take some for your kid.

How about bring some rice powder or cereal powder for your kid?

我當時帶2歲大的囡囡去, 通常我地食乜就食乜ka la!囡囡最鐘意食魚, 所以晚餐我地就去downtown食海鮮. 另外,你可以食早餐的時候攞定d蛋糕麵包,等小朋友肚餓時都可以食
