GC,

The show is called "生老病死 The Living Body". Don't know where to watch it again ah ... sorry!

Last night the video showed a baby coming out from the vagina of its mother with the help of clinical staff ..... so real and shocked... and touching too! But Kv was a bit scared when he saw blood.

Besides this, the progam "悭得就悭 Wa$ted!" is good too. It shows how can we save $$ by going Green. This show is also scheduled on Wed b4 "The Living Body".

Re: Kwik Math, I almost forget! Hv you got the workbook from W yet?

Which primary school will Bee go to?

The eng centre I'm talking about is NOT ACL. It's another centre located at Wanchai.

btw, ACL does ask the students to bring along their test paper back. Kids can get 1 stamp for each paper brought and will get an additional stamp if the paper with >90 marks.

As Kv has 2 assessment b4, he got 4 extra stamps this time!

I can tell you that kids in SPCC are very happy!

Actually pressure from homework is not that much (when compared with other schools) as most of the HW can be finished during 導修堂.

btw, you're getting to the right track --> work harder to boost the chinese standard.

Anyone wants to hire a mate?
The contract of the one working for us is going to expire end of next month.
Indo, cantonese speaking, age 3x+, experience in taking care kids and new born. She works quite ok, one with "sense" at least, not a talkative type. My family wants to hire another who speaks eng & mandarin.

KL,

We already pay a firm to do all the a/c for us,
but there is a vvv long lag (cos the partner of audit firm has not cfm audit after 3 yrs lag, and we are not sure how to proceed (what basis should be used in some cases), and audit has lagged behind.
Otherwise the a/c firm would be able to do it instead of me.

I know the a/c are actually going around in circles,
supposed to be double checking itself,
but I still can't make it balance !

My understanding is there may be a chance with 20 marks, but not with only 15, unless......... e.g. u know someone with influence, which I don't. My son got in becos his father is an old boy.

I got tickets to a show at Cityhall on 12/19 at 7pm as well. Actually the tickets are not with me, a friend asked me if I am interested & I said yes. I don't know what the show is. Would it be the same as yours? Care to give us a call such that I can meet u in person for the first time!!!

No, the kid who scored 59 marks is studying at P.3, not the twins! The twins should be fine, don't think they got 83, at least 9x. The mother (my classmate) gave 1,000 pages of worksheets for the kids to do!!!!!

Enjoy your motherhood. New born is not easy but u can have a few good years of joy & fun to look forward to. Glad that I'm over with new born now. Really too old for it!

I went to the recital today. I watched 20 kids. I am impressed! Their scores should be very close. Too bad I didn't stay to see who gets the prizes. But could tell some minor mistakes in the pronounciation.

OIC... you're talking about another kid.

Actually I was told by the eng teacher that the boy of the fraternal twins got 8X cos the boy showed the test paper to him, and he was so "8" to call me asking what's the result of Kv. That's it!

(PS. Kv and the boy go to the same centre but diff class on diff day)

btw, I remember the eng teacher said the girl is doing much better than her brother.

1,000 work sheet??!!

For both Math and Eng?

Really practice makes perfect.

btw, I think the focus should not be on the marks itself but the effort put and the improvement shown by the kid!

The boy is easy go lucky type, typical of boys. The girl is diligent & serious. According to their mummy, the boy is actually brighter than the girl. Will see when they goes to high school. I need to improve my son's chinese, do u have a good centre to recommend on HK island, ideally near CWB area? Thx

Agree that girls are usually more stable and mature than boys in learning during primary school stage. That's why most of the band 1 EMI high school got more girls than boys... sigh!!

Sorry I don't hv any info on Chin centre. I think you can just give out chin exercises and readers to your son. It works the same!
