My family had get use to Melbourne la.......thanks for your concern!!
I think you have to bring enough clothes to come to here as the clothes here is not as good style as HK and the price is not worth(my own opinion), so I will not buy any clothes in Mel., I prefer to buy when I come back to HK.

Other household things is a bit expensive when compare with HK, however, you have to accept this situation if you decided to live here.

我會將岩同岩著d衣服帶晒去.可能做啊四做到修身左,著返以前ｄ衣服都唔定嫁. :lol: 家庭用品都帶晒過去,總之就幾多帶幾多就無怕啦!

你先生系Melb做野呀?有無企視的感覺?你個小朋友有無返childcare啊?

Do you like cooking?? The reason why I ask is that you better bring the chinese chopping knife and chinese wok to here if you like cooking because it's very difficult to buy a good one here, if you buy the western one to cook chinese dish, it's not as good as using chinese one.....

Now, it's time to answer your question:

My husband and I are working here, both of us don't feel any discriminate feeling and people in here are nice..

My daughter goes to childcare 5 days/wk, from 9am to 5pm

I had no relative in Melbourne or Oz, all my relatives are in HK

If we have day-off, we will go to zoo, park, "Yum Cha" or window shopping in shopping centre, we are planning to go to stawberry or cherrie garden recently as it's time to go and take stawberry or cherrie from tree by ourself, I think it will be fun

The main reason for migration is better education for my daughter, another reason is better career prospect and more family gathering time, in HK, we both have to work 6 days/wk, however, we can choose to work how many days/wk in here (My husband work 5 days/wk, I only work 4 days/wk now, maybe I will choose to work 3 days/wk later), we can have more time to stay with my daughter.

When will you come to here?? Hope the information can help you.

Which hospital in NZ you born your baby?? My daughter also born in NZ 3 years ago, she was born in National Women's hospital in Auckland.

My husband and I also graduated from secondary school only and work in 1 company in HK for 10 years, that company is
"Hospital Authority"-->we both are nurse, that's why we can find job easily in here lor......

My mother-in-law migrate with us, so she will help me to clean house, wash clothes and take care my daughter.

I am not a NZ PR or citizen, I go to born my daughter only, before I migrate to AUS, actually I choose to migrate to NZ, so I go to NZ to born my daughter (so she can be the NZ citizen), after I come back to HK, I find the information about migrate to NZ and AUS, then I know that AUS had a "state nominate skill migration catagory" that fit us, the processing time is only ~5 months, so I choose to migrate to AUS lor.....
Actually, I haven't go to AUS or NZ before.... :lol: :lol:

Hi all,

到左MELB都8日了, 今日先得闲上来同大家chichat. How are you everyone?

Maybe i can tell you all first how my life so far at Melbourne. Took flight when prenant is really not easy, the fist day when i arrived melb, both of my legs are paintful. As all of my family have to work, so i have to take care of Claire alone a home, it really take me a few days to recover. And early this week, i have been busy searching for doctor, do blood test, ultra scan, grocery shopping etc. SO BUSY!

Haydenmama,
Need to congraduate you first of having a lovely daughther, can't wait to meet you and your family and the rest of the Melb's mum.

How's everything so far? BF sucessfully? Remember to rest as more as you can on the first month, ok!

You should be here to Melb in another 10+ days right, remember to pm me your contact, i will pm you mine later.

Although I live in Box Hill, I am not work in Box Hill Hospital, I work in Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg which is a new and modern; gynae and obstetric hospital...
