ANS: No problem can stay in China or Macau to wait for the new visa.

ANS: Yes, normally nothing more BUT it depends on the agency, you need to check with them. Actually if she wait in China should be more cheaper because no need to pay for the Indonesia side.

You can PM me if it's not convenient here.

ANS: Sorry I really don't know which agency is the cheapest one.

ANS: Ticket valid at least 14days and can changed schedule without any charges.

Not only direct hire maid all the domestic helper should have Training & Exam by their Government before their deployment. Unless she worked in Hong Kong before for more than 2 years then no need to have Training & exam. About the charges it depends, some agents will charge all from the employer, some agents all pay by the maid, some agents both employer & the helper have to pay. Reasonable price around HK$5000-6000 included for both side.

機票唔係好緊張，除非係年29至初五會難D，我今日book31/1及1/2即有位。我反而擔心佢做唔切出口紙多過無機位喇。

I also have a question.

My agent introduce a maid to me who has 8yrs experiences in HK (2 yrs contract for taking care elderly and 6yrs for 1 employ and have 2 new born experience). She seems meet my requirement as I have a 7mths baby needs to take care.

I have the below questions:
1. as she is so experience, will she follow my instruction or whether she can behave well.
2. she back home after 6 yrs employment, and she delivery a baby. Now her baby only 8mths. Will she have home sick in such case? Is it normal in Philippines?
3. Should I take this maid?
4. Her ex-employer is very rich, the house is more spacious than us. Will she take this job?

As my previous maid let my baby injury, so I need to be more careful this times.

我之前係未請過工人既, 現依想今年5-6月左右搵個工人返嚟, 於是乎周圍問朋友睇吓有冇快約滿既好工人可介紹.

點知有個朋友既菲工人個外甥 (暫叫佢做A)攞住個travel visa 話嚟香港搵工, 但佢以前未係香港做過同埋係未做過工人. 我會約A今個星期日見面, 同埋問清楚佢到底有冇受過training等資料.

想問吓點解佢會攞住個travel visa咁就嚟香港搵工, 佢話佢嚟咗香港成個星期連一個interview都冇. 聽聞佢俾咗成$5000個agent幫佢搞. 到底係咩一回事呢?! 係咪個agent搵佢苯呢!?

如果我見完佢後又覺得佢ok的話, 我係咪必須搵番佢個agent幫手搞working visa,定係我可以另搵agency搞呢?!

同埋我係預咗個工人5-6月先返工, 我係咪可以叫佢返家鄉,等5-6月先再過嚟呢?!

Dear Mrs Rose,

Would like to check again that my bun's visa will be expired on Feb. 2, 08. When I hired her, she is a local finished contract one & straight work in my family without going back to Philippines. So, she needs to exist on Feb. 2. If I fire her on Feb. 1 (won't existing to extend the visa), does she also get an auto extend of the visa for 14 days in HK to find employer? Thanks for your help.

如果係印妹我相信過年前未必可以到港! 考試/檢身反而唔係問題，但exit permit 印尼勞工部都幾煩架一般要2星期先OK，希望你Agent幫到手啦!

ANS: I cannot judge her character and behavior since I don't know the maid personally. For such experience maid, she should naturally have initiative and know how to take care of the baby independently. However she may have some ways of doing work from her previous employment which may not suitable to you, therefore you need to be more patient in that way to correct her habit.

2. she back home after 6 yrs employment, and she delivery a baby. Now her baby only 8mths. Will she have home sick in such case? Is it normal in Philippines?

ANS: Its possible. But there alot of other maids who have the same situation and come to work in Hong Kong too.

3. Should I take this maid?

ANS: Its really up to you. If you are a working mother, her experience seems alright as she can be independent to handle her duties. However, she may not be easy to manage.

4. Her ex-employer is very rich, the house is more spacious than us. Will she take this job?

ANS: If you think your house size will be concern to the maid decision to take up your job, ask your agent to include your house size in the Job Offer to her to make her decision.

Her last day to stay in Hong Kong will be as per the date stated in her passport visa, which is Feb 2 08. If she want to extend she will have to go to HK Immigration to apply.

菲傭轉換雇主

我朋友既菲傭未夠兩年，以家距地要移民，三月走，可以將菲傭讓給我，請問如果辦轉雇主的話，個菲傭系米一定要返菲律賓一次？

我朋友要出信給菲傭同入境處，要俾遣散費，我就要同距簽合同，同埋向入境處申請，有無人知大概要幾耐先可以辦完？個工人可唔可以先來我都做住先，同時辦個滴手續？

Though I want to fire her, she is not really bad. I still want to let her has the chance to find employer. So, what should I do as the time is getting rush now. Thanks.

She will have 14 days visitor visa BUT she need to apply after you terminated her at Feb 02. Because her original visa given by Immigration is only up to Feb 02, let said if her visa is upto Mar 02, she will automatically changed to 14 days visitor visa after termination and she no need to Immigration apply for it, and it's because she still have valid visa. Visa fee only HK$160.

My maid will finished contracted at 31 Mar. I want to find a new to replace her. I have the following questions :
1. If I confirm a new maid from Philipine, can she come before 31 Mar or 1 Apr ? I don't know the Imm. processing time is how long for new hire.
2. Would it be faster if I hire a local maid finished contract in HK so that she can report duty on 1 Apr ?

如果工人有僱主信証明係因移民而唔用佢，可以留係香港轉工，唔駛立即返菲律賓。申請需時約一個月，根據法例未出Visa就開工係唔合法架!
