Had tried the trail class in gymboree la, ralph seems very happy on that day. But finally, i didn't enroll the class. Coz it is quite expensive $187 perclass only 45 mins. I'll try others before make any decision.
i had enrolled the mandarin class la, the teacher is very good, Ms Lau. Hope Anson enjoye the trail class la.

re:Flash cards,

Really want to share with u guys,yesterday i showed two different color flash cards to Ralph and asked him to choose which card is color bule. He took the right one. At the beginning, i think he was lucky then i asked him again and again, he also took the right answer. Then i showed to him the alphabet cards C and H and asked him to choose which one is C. He did take the right card. For the dot cards, he also took the right one. It is really an encouragement for me.

Hey! How's Tasha's interview yesterday? Hope that everything was smooth la!

I think it's quite hard to manipulate bb's performance at an interview. Even Anson now is 22 mths, sometimes when he faces strangers, he would just keep silent and not that 'co-operative' :evil: ! I think I would be very nervous too if he is going to have an interview

Wow! Ralph is really smart ah! Just 1 yr old could recognise some colors and letters. Thanks to early education, I think bb's '濳能' can really be explored earlier. It's really good for their learning in the future.

re: playgroup

Then, do u know any playgroup just like gymboree?
Really happy to know that the mandarin class is good. How many classes have you enrolled?

For the Manadrain palygroup, i had enrolled 16 classes $2040.
I also think bb's濳能' need explored as ealier as u can .
Ralph now is attending a pre-school playgroup in DB.
Two days per week. It's help bb to become familiar with the school. They offer a wide range of activities eg. story telling, arts&crafts, music and rhymes, dance and movement , snack time..... Ralph is the youngest one in that group but he seems very enjoy it espacially snack time . He also plays with the other kids. I mean 爭玩具

It also have 5-10 mins Mandarin class.
Yesterday, Ralph learnt how to do the action恭喜恭喜, when speak to him 恭喜 in mandarian

All,

Natasha's interview was not bad, she smiled at most of the people and she's willing to play the toys at the playgroup before the interview. She did walked around at the interview but didn't get all fussed up, thank god! After the interview, we saw our friend and both of the baby played for a while at the playground until my friend's baby was ready to interview.
Basically, there were a few Chinese and English teachers playing with the babies and asking the parents questions, and then there were one to two teachers observing the happenings and rating them on papers.
They will send out the letter within a months' time, therefore all we have to do is wait and keep our finger cross.

The mandarin class is really cheap wor, only $12x / lesson. But I missed the trial class on mon coz Anson was sleeping late the night before and wake up at 10am on that day (the class was 10:30am

). I may arrange another one later. But I just notice that there is another mandarin playgroup nearby (Mosque Junction), $260/2hrs/lesson, commence after the CNY. Would try both of them to see which one better.

All,

Well, I'm having headache when putting Anson to his bed now coz we had just changed a new bed for Anson last weekend. He is now no longer sleeping on the BB bed.....he has his own kid's bed now.....but it also means that he can now climb up and down his bed on his own :evil: . Last time, he would finish his milk at his bed and then fell asleep after playing for a while in his bb bed. But now he would get down the bed immediately after the milk and would like to play more. My hubby and I need to spend double effort before we could let him sleep properly

I'm also condersidering whether to put Andrea into her bed (not cot). Andrea always sleeps like a monkey/frog... which she will hit her feet/hands/head while changing her "sleeping posture" and make her wake up and cry

, I think I mixed up 理工 & 浸大! Last time I read an article about this kinder, that sounds really good 活動教學 + 一條龍. I think if I were living nearby, I would probably try to get a place there too.

If u want to let Andrea sleeping on her own bed, u need to pay extra attention when she is sleeping ah. 我都係逼不得已才轉小童床咋! 我原本想佢瞓多幾個月先同佢轉床的, 因佢大d我會放心d, 但佢近來竟可從bb床番身落我張床 :evil: (因佢張床同我張床是泊埋一起的)!!! 現在佢睡覺唯有睇緊d, 佢真係試過差d碌落床尾架

Dear all,
Haven't left any message for a long time! Cause i'm busy in cleaning up my home these days. Just want to have a cleaner home before Lunar New Year!!

Have stop playing flash card for a while since Lam Lam's sleeping problem haven't be solved yet. However it seems that she is improving these days. But i don't expect too much, cause everytime i think the problem is solved, she will wake up many times again!!

It's so encouraging to learn that Ralph recognise so many things. I could imagine that Ralph is so cute when doing "Kung Hei Kung Hei". I try hard these days in teaching Lam Lam to do 請請. A few days before, my hubby holding her sitting on the floor and just asking 請請, she suddenly did it! My hubby and i were so surprised!
Afterwards, i try to ask her to do 請請 many times, sometimes she did it, but sometimes she ignore me!Therefore i wonder if she really know how to do 請請 in New Year.

I just received some leaflets few days ago. It's in Mosque Junction/Robinson Rd. They have both english and mandarin playgroups for Toddlers starting from 10 mths. I'll pm the website for u, pls check.

係 ar, d baby訓覺真係舞龍咁, 以前家姐講過佢地 d 仔女都係咁訓, 但我估唔到咁誇張 law

呀囡個張係子母床, 如果真係唔訓bb床, 佢就會訓下格床, 工人就訓拉出來個張床, 碌落床都有d "ja-la", 無咁傷, 不過我可能會等熱d先轉床 lu :mrgreen:

My hubby wants to let Andrea to attend nursery (ie, 2-yr old), so most probably, she'll go to school this year lah. (actually, I don't want her to study so early, it's easy to get sick in school)

For those famous nursery, like 救世軍, people said they need to apply once they got the birth certificate. For others, some of them need to apply/interview 1 year ahead while some only require a few month for application.

in my case, I start doing research since Andrea 1 yr old. However, it really depend on which school you prefer as some school requires early application

Long time no chat lah, everybody! How's mamas and babies?

Natasha just took the Smallpox vaccination last Thursday and so far so good. Though the doc said she's a bit overweight in comparison to her height (97% vs 75%). This really gives me a headache cos she doesn't eat a lot, don't know if it's because I've start giving her some buns in the Chinese restaurant and she pork bone soup as congee base. Actually you can see her double chin when rocking her to sleep, so funny. My mother-in-law always call her "little fat sheep" (i.e. the restaurant name) and now she is a little fat sheep, how ironic.
Natasha is not sleeping when these couple days too, probably because I've stop giving her porridge water in the last feeding (milk) and she felt hungry at the middle of night but too lazy to wake up. Hope it'll get better soon lah.

Sorry to hear that Lam Lam is still not sleeping well at night, you must be very exhausted. Maybe you could try to listen to light music from 6pm onwards and hoping that she will be less active at night. I let Natasha listen to Mozart Effect as bedtime music and let it repeats throughout the night, the good side is she sleep much better but the down side is she's too attached to the music that if the CD stops in the middle of night and she happens to toss around at the same time, she will definitely wakes up. But it's worth trying for a while, just to calm Lam Lam down a bit.

Already thinking of letting HH sleep on big bed now? Is it save? Although I totally agree that their sleeping habit is very bad indeed, like a monkey. I tried to cover her quilt but never work.
