I discuss with a nurse this morning about should we stop letting the babies putting their hands into mouths. For the hygenic point of view, it's dirty and not a good habbit. However, for the baby development and psychological point of view, we should let them to do so. At this stage, our babies' mouths are developing (sensation and physical growth). Besides, they use their mouths to explore the world. Now, all they can do is putting thier hands into mouths. When their hands can grab things, they will put other stuff into mouths. Don't stop this behavior. They will loss their curiorsity to learn or hurt their feelings......it discourages their growth. All we can do is to clean their hands frequently or use other things to drive their attention if they are out of control.

For the "nin tsui" affairs, I brought my baby a pairs of NUK neborn. The outter frame doesn't fit (the curve is so round or my baby's chin is so fat) and it make a funny mark on her face. Then, I brought the Avent one, the outter frame hit its nose every time it sucks. My husband afraid that it will make her a "pig nose". Now, I have 4 "nin tsui" at home but none of them are good for her. Please advice any other brand. Thanz!

I have also bought NUK Pacifier for my baby....yes yes....the shape is a bit funny and my baby gets a 'heart shape' around his mouth every time after he sucks it! haha! This gives him a 'heart shape lip'! But apart from this, it seems ok for my baby, so I am still using it for him.
I think Avent is not good if it is hitting the nose of your baby. Try NUK la! I think it is not bad at all!

Will your baby put hands into mouth? My girl like to put her pointer (not the thumb) into mouth...it's kind of funny.
