The ENT doc reminded us that piglet needs to trim down (proper diet) ga !
Must eat properly, otherwise need to spend more $$$ on dietician.

No final exams. We built the Lego Cafe Corner on 1 July, went to OP 360 on 2 July, Sai Kung on 3 July...... On weekdays, Rachel will do some supplementary exercises on Chin, Eng, Maths, music theory worksheets, reading and play the wii-fit....so occupied !

Congratulation to Jojo's results! No.5, not bad la :). I didn't "whip" my son to go for top ranks in the class. As long as he stays above average & knows his stuff (I don't want to but have to excuse him for making careless mistakes!), I am fine. I look forward to him studying by himself, wonder how & when to start!!! Please share if u have any tips.

Very sad to hear the news of the mum's death. It happens, but usu. less common among women. Either case, desparating for the family esp. the kid. Wish him well. That reminds us to enjoy our parenthood when we are given the chance. Mum here, add oil!

Congratulations to JoJo !

We have been using Zeven school bag (small size) for the past 2 years and will continue to use it this year. It is really light and durable. I have already bought a spare one last year for Rachel's use in upper Primary as I guess the price will go up years by years.

It's really sad to hear the bad news. May the mum rest in peace !

Bad / sad news show up every now and then.
Some are closer, some farther away.

A friend of Big Pig's who drives a passenger van also passed away suddenly from heart attack last CNY, we didn't know until early Apr. The friend was in a restaurant in between jobs, and just fainted ==> X. Didn't know that he had anything wrong prev.

Zeven schoolbags are real good. Even piglet who is so big in body size complains about the weight of SPI schoolbag. I got him a Zeven bag last May. V light by comparison, and we got the big size one, can hold a lot.

But piglet has 7 diff subject-lessons each Monday ==> still very heavy schoolbag. Can't imagine the weight on smaller size kids who use other (non-Zeven) bags !

You can find the bags being sold in Barocco -
The Elements
CWB Lee Gardens II (the former Caroline Centre)
TST Ocean Terminal near TRUs.

I think The Elements (the entire shopping mall) offer some sort of perpetual "privilege" on all sorts of credit cards so you should be able to get 10% more easily than in the other 2 Barocco shops.

And my maid "washes" the bag once every 2-3 weeks (cos in piglet's school you can only put the schoolbag on the floor ==> very dirty), but it still looks at least 80% new. Very "washable" and durable.

My niece got 2nd choice from SSPA (secondary school placement allocation). A bit shocked cos she ranked the 5th in the whole grade (3rd in class)in a band-1 primary school.

She will go to SSGC.

My son's godfather's daughter is lucky enough to get into Marymount too. I was quite surprised as the whole family lives in Mei Foo. My husband said they got some "help"! Looks like they will move to HK island & we can see each other more!!!!

How much is a Zeven schoolbag?

My daughter got a present, a Zeven backpack, in the school bazaar year ago. It's not really a schoolbag as there is no cushioning. Anyways, not bad a present.

Still up at this time? I notice that BS stays up late too. $900+ for a school bag is very expensive!!!!!

You remind me of an ex-colleague, a guy, whom I couldn't recognise when I ran into him one day in Central a few years ago. Subsequently I learnt from someone else that he got cancer - he lost so much weight he seemed a diff person to me. He died already but I felt so bad for him - he's still single when he died, an American Chin, tall & decent guy......

RMM & others,
I couldn't sleep because last night my maid just wrapped herself in a towel after bath!!! It was 10pm & my husband just came home from work 30mins ago, having dinner in the dining room! Last time I caught her like that when my husband was in biz trip. Other minor issues aside, I think this is really out of bound!

Re the Zeven school bag, better bring Jxxx to try on it before you buy it. The size which I bought in 2007was small size which was suitable for use in P1. Starting from last year, they didn't have any small size. As advised from other BK mami, there's some changes to this year's design, esp. not too fit for skinny kids. The one which I bought in 2007 was HK$670, then I bought another one last year(reserved for P4-6 use) at HK$850 and this year the price has gone up to HK$980 as quoted by other BK mami.
