I can't believe the sales have pushed people to buy so much!!
I think I may have bought $5000+ with my last pregnancy too at 010, but it comprised lots of nice outer wear for work, a formal party dress (I had a wedding to go to), 托腹帶, breastfeeding pyjamas.
With underwear, I bought about 6 day bras 2 different sizes and that lasted for the whole pregnancy and breastfeeding. I brought 3 night bras (2 different sizes). Like many others, I am not used to wearing night bras, so I actually end up using them when I was just at home.
I did buy some new matnernity underwear (pants) as the sales said you must buy them and you will hurt your BB if you wear normal underwear. They are very high waist underwear, I find them uncomfortable and too hot during summer ... so hardly use them. I asked my doctor about whether it is necessary to buy maternity underwear (pants), and she said it was "ridiculous". Obviously if they are tight, you buy bigger sizes. I ended up buying normal low waist underwear ... so much cheaper and comfortable.
Also, I saw someone said you need to dispose underwear (pants) after a few months!! Why throw away an underwear!? If there is discharge, use the small disposable panty liners!? I think I started using them in second trimester.
I think the sales person nowadays are getting ridiculous, they are just trying to get money off us pregnant women because they know we will spend.
Oh with breast pads, I used disposable ones. I did buy a few pair of non disposable ... but honestly, cannot be bothered doing washing and waiting for them to dry. I think its more hygenic too. This is just my personal opinion.
