Nice to meet you today!! yoyo is really a BIG BIG girl comparing to other 0408 babies!! Will send you photos afterwards! AliBB went to sleep immediately after she went inside the car... she was really tired...

zero and "O"... um... let me ask ask AliBB for her advices as I don't know how could babies distinguish the two. AliBB knows the "O" and circle, but I haven't taught her the zero... For "l" and "1", the "1" that I have at home, all have the cap and the feet, so, it is easy to know whether it is "1" or "l".

I also heard that ready readers is good... may want to try it later on. Any comments? Where did u buy the $3 books? I wanna buy some more for AliBB...

For phonics, I'm thinking wait until AliBB goes to school, then, I will ask the school which phonics system they will teach and I will learn and teach her at home. As I heard some mums saying that if you teach 1 phonics system at home but the school uses another phonics system, the babies will mess up... so, I'm still struggling whether to start with a formal system now... what's your view on this?

今日我同亞女都玩得好開心呀!AliBB真係好叻女，識講好多野，可惜你地無去panda house佢居然無瞓到仲喺度食野，我地睇得幾開心。之後去埋睇金魚。堯堯一上車就瞓咗，啱啱至起身咋!佢都真係好tired。

Jolly Phonics is not a story based phonic system, i.e. it doesn't give each alphabet a character. It links the letter sound with the sound itself, e.g. S to the sound from snake, which I don't think would lead to any confusion. I remembered you are quite interested to Letterland, in this regards, your concern on confusion to the baby would be ture. Hairy Hat in Letterland would have some other character name and story behind in another phonic system. . .. I would treat Jolly Phonics as a starting program. See what kind of phonics system would the kindergarten used and then follow it at home. . . that's my strategy. Any comments?

If you want to have a look at Ready reader, we may have a lunch date and I can share my copy with you. But I just wonder if you can sqeeze time from AliBB's busy schedule.
