I am a patients who suffer Crohn's Disease for more then 10 years, me and my mother were feeling very bad when first diagnose.
During the period, I did visit many specialist (GI) / doctor but most of the GI specialist in HK saying that it was impossible to catch such illness for Chinese / HK
people and it is a kind of illness that you have to carry for life
However in the recent years, there is a bio chem. Medicine named Infliximab (from Remicade), it helps to claim down the intestines while having the infection / fair up
It work perfectly well on myself, I had 3 dose 12 years ago (and I was one of the very first man to try such medicine in HK ) and now I stay free for the last 10 year. So be positive it is not as bad as what most of the specialist say
In HK, there are a numbers of specilaist who can take care of Crohn’s disease,
1) is a private doctor in Mongkok name Dr Leung Ying Kit (tel: 2771 0698) he is a GI specialist and concentration with the department of pediatrics
2) is a professior Sung (沈祖堯教授) but I think he is now only visit PWH once a month therefore limited chance to catch him.
