The Zeven schoolbag, even at $9xx, is a good buy ga. Well worth it cos the kids will feel the weight (much lighter).

As for your maid, is that the one who got preg last year ? or another one ?
Better get another one, this one is no good at all. Always creates trouble, and trying to test your limits.

Sing : I'm going from 20 to 26 Aug. Will go to a plantation (火龍果) in Malaysia on 21 Aug but in Sing for the rest of the time. Will your trip be around that time ? if so can meet up ga woh.

Usual places :
Singapore Flyer, Zoo, Night Zoo, Sentosa has a show at night, Duck Tour (amphibian vehicle, takes 1 hr).

Eats :
chicken rice; satay (satay club at night, near City Hall MTR); kaya toast and 滾水蛋 (I prefer Killerny Kopitiam to Ah 坤); ba kut teh 排骨茶 (but piglet doesn't like it)
The food courts in Raffles Place, basement of Takashimaya are both good places for lunch and/or dinner.
Since we usually don't get enough fruit and vege, I usually order several portions diff fruits eg papaya, rock melon. water melon, or juice. Quite clean cos we don't get tummy ache or diarrhoea from it.

Shopping :
Takashimaya (incl Harrods stuff in basement) (size larger than Sogo, walk till you drop and then go to basement for food) (if you want to buy Johnson&Johnson's 蚊怕水 you can find it in Taka's supermarket, a transparent liquid in a greenish transparent J&J bottle same shape as its lotion, S$9.xx @, not found any more in HK cos nobody buys it cos no adverts)
Gap (a few shops away from Takashimaya on Orchard Road, or in Vivo City)
Lego and Lego T-shirts (Brick World, same building as Takashimaya but Tower B); another one in Harbour (?) Centre which is also nearby.
Robinson's (a dept. store) for T-shirts.
Popular Bookshop, for Engl and Maths suppl ex, and Engl books - bring along your VIP discount card.

Just walk along Orchard Rd, also underground from Raffles City to Suntec City and Harbour Centre.

Everywhere you can ask for help in VAT refund if you spend over S$100 (which is quite easy). Cash refund counter in Terminal 3 is very quiet and easily found.
If you go buy Lego then I can lend you the VIP card (10% off).

And we fly on Sing Airlines ==> booked seats on upper deck of A380 for Hk / Sing, and lower deck for Sing / HK.
So actually you can enjoy yourselves even as you are on the plane !!!!! (new plane)

Hi BS,

We have to go in the 2nd week of Aug. We cannot be away during the last 2 weeks of Aug as my daughter has to attend some practices then. I just bought 3 books about touring Singapore. I haven't booked airtickets and hotel yet. Hope I can work out an itinerary asap.

Our HG books of 10 have arrived finally. My neck is so long already. It took 11 weeks for the shipment. However, your graphic novel is still outstanding. It was ordered in end March, if my memory is not wrong.

Have you returned to work yet? I will ask my hubby to pass the books to you.

Selin is the most sensible engl maths (problems) book ga la. Few available. And the Sing ones don't really fit HK's syllabus.

GN4,

No hurry re our HG books. Piglet is not reading yet, only playing all day and watching TV. Must whip the piglet.

And I have to pass your hb a TW Chin book (#20 of Story Ferris Wheel).

Will be in the office from Mon-Fri next week.

Re : Sing flight,
I prefer SQ to CX, more spacious. Can book online or through Sing Holidays. See if you want to try out the A380, if so you should book upper deck and lower deck as we did, part of the fun and part of what you paid for haha.

If you need the VIP card to Brick World I can also pass it to your hb. But I need it back before 20 Aug.

Thanks for the Lok See link. Didn't know they have published so many supp exercises! Want to ask if any of u knows about this "精英" version. Is it more difficult than the ordinary ones? They seem to have some new release of Mock & TSA paper vs just TSA..... I am overwhelmed! I saw Teresa's thread about bookfair under the forum "good books to share". You may follow her link to print out some coupons!

Bought for you la, $450. ($438 in PTU but I don't have a card, so better buy this one la, not too much diff in $, much better than TRUs $5xx.)

Where / how / when would you prefer to pick up ?
You still have 1 TW Chin book too (Story Ferris Wheel #20).

one side all problems, the other side the steps. So even if parent doesn't have time the kid can DIY

got half hour rest before dinner, come in and 818. interested in the zeven schoolbag but can't find it on the website other than a small pic in the Barocco homepage. anyone got the official website? if it's a german brand, I may have chance to find it in swiss. I'll have a day off on sat, then i can be targeted on my shopping!

I finally find the 7 schoolbag website and just realise it is an italian brand instead of a german brand. Only info for stores within Italy but not any other cities.

From 7's former website I found shops in LA and either Germany or Fr. But very diff to locate the website nowadays.
If you find the bag, do grab some (well one or 2 la), cos really very good as schoolbag, and half the px of 7 in HK.
