HI! 我會與家人5月21日出發往沙巴, 都是住Rasa Ria, 以下是酒店回覆有關 shuttle bus資料：

"Our shuttle service only stop at the shopping mall at the city centre and at our sister hotel, Shangri-la Tanjung Aru resort.

It is chargeable at MYR30 per adult and children is half price. The time depart from the resort are 9am, 1200noon, 3.30pm & 6.30pm.

Return at 2.15,2.30,5.15,5.30,9pm,9.15pm from the shopping mall and 2.00pm,5.00pm,8.45pm from Shangri-La Tanjung Aru"'

Thanks so much for such detailed explanation.

Actually, we would like to take Dragonair, however, this airlines have additional charge on these few days and make the package much more expensive, with the budget of taking Malaysia airlines of 5D4N, we can just take the KA of 4D3N which we have to get up as early as 6:00 am and back home as late as 12:00 midnight, that's the reason we have chosen Malaysia airlines.

I would like to how far is it from STAR to the pier taking boat to the Mutimuk Island (the island which your family has gone), is it in walking distance ?

Also, What is the name of the restuarant taking the Hainan Chicken rice and Prawn tiger ?

1. The pier is inside STAR. From Tanjung Wing to pier, just 30 seconds if you run.

From Kinabul Wing to pier, just 10 seconds if you run

2. We had 2 seafood dinners in Sabah. I felt Ocean Seafood Village (海王城) is good (though I think the taste in Sai Kung is the best). The 'wet creamy tiger prawn' is very good. This taste likes 'cheese lobster'.
We tried 白灼東風螺 in another seafood resturant and the taste is good as well. Never tried 'steamed oxyster with garlic' and you would surely regret :-(
The chicken rice : 味雅 located in Segama Road / Street and the Ocean Seafood Village is the central part of downtown. You just simply tell the name to the hotel staff (a staff is always standby in the main entrance of hotel to help the guests to take taxi) and the staff would tell the taxi driver. If the driver is a Chinese, you just tell him directly.

If u really want to know the addresses, you can ask the guide you see in the airport.
If u really want to check the local tour package offered by Sabah Holiday, u can ask Wincastle to fax a copy to you.

I guess you arrive Sabah around 6pm if you take Malaysia Airlines. Forturately, as you live in STAR, I think you can arrive hotel at 7:15pm. Would u go to Ocean Seafood Village after checking-in or having your dinner in STAR?
If u stay in Nexus or Risa Ria, I think you could go to sleep after checking-in. :cry:

Hi,

I heard that there is a night market at the "Tanju Aru Beach" which has some "street food" eg. BBQ chicken wing etc. Is this "night street" inside the STAR Hotel, how can I go there if I live in Magellen?

And which island is better? Sapi or Manuka? I heard some of you said that the tour package (including BBQ lunch) is not good, it's better buy the ferry ticket at the pier, is that right? Please advise if you have gone there, thanks. I shall travel with my 1.5 years old boy. Please advise which tour / island is suitable for us?

And I would like to join the 螢火蟲 tour as well, how long does this tour last for? where and how can I join this tour? How much?

1. Night food stall in Tanjung Beach : I'm not sure whether there is night food stall there but there are some restaurants in this Beach. U just tell taxi driver to go to Tanjung Beach.
2. My guide told us Sapi had been destoryed by tourists seriously in recent years. Therefore, we go to Mamutik island instead. We liked this island very much and hence we went there 2 times in our trip. U could see my Sabah photo album about the pictures of this island. We only bought returned speedboat tickets to this island because a). only 40RM for adult & the return time is flexible; b). the return time of the island local tour is 2:30pm and this timing is not good for my kid as he needed to have afternoon nap; c). I don't want to eat BBQ food under hot sunlight. From STAR to Mamutik, just 8 minutes. I think the timing from Magellan to Mamutik is more or less the same.
For your reference, I took speedboat in STAR pier at 9am and returned STAR at 11:30am or 12:30pm. After taking a shower in hotel, we go to downtown to have our lunch and then returned hotel to have afternoon nap....

For the river cruise local tour, you can see probocsis monkey, fireflies, crocodile etc. A coach would come to pick u up in hotel at around 2pm and returned to hotel at around 10pm. The tour started at around 4pm and u stayed in speedboat for 2 hours. Then, a dinner would be provided to u. I worried that your kid (only 1.5 years old) don't enjoy the tour as u needed to take about 1 and half hour to the pier and stayed in speedboat for 2 hours. Price is around 220RM per person.

你地去沙巴酒店小心d,因為今日有個fn返黎好唔開心,佢地3個人住係Maxxllan度,住兩日就check out轉酒店,朝早將行李放係酒店寄存部,就出去d島玩,點知下午返黎想攞返行李,唔見晒.之後就有個男人打電話比佢話係酒店附近執到證件,想比返佢.點知哥個人其實係賊,攞埋個fn張credit card叫佢送部手提比佢,先至比返個證件.於是我個fn就搵埋酒店負責人一齊報警.咁大間5星酒店居然咁唔安全.d警察睇返酒店錄影帶證實係有一個華人拖走佢地d行李.我個fns就慘無衫著同換.其中一個仲無埋證件.返到黎個底仲著住件泳衣.去旅行大家小心d

各位你哋好呀, 我終於睇哂37頁的留言啦!!

我其實一直都想在5月中同埋個仔(3歲半)去旅行, 一直都以為去日本最好, 因有DISNEY,同好多主題公園啱佢玩, 同埋自安比較好. 而且我同老公去過好幾次, 比較放心. 但第一次同個仔去旅行, 我同老公都唔知攪唔攪得佢掂. 因我老公話叫我想清楚先, 而我99又唔想我地同亞仔去, 怕佢細, 怕佢辛苦同要成日行會好倦. 前2日我上來找資料, 見到這個題目....

我已同我老公講要去沙巴, 因為有妳哋的資了同靚靚相

我真係好想試下去有陽光海灘的地方(我老公最鐘意, 以前佢都有叫我去, 但我怕哂同好似好悶的), 我估我個仔都會玩得好開心的, 而且你哋有D小朋友咁細都可以去, 我估我個咁大都應該無問題啦... :mrgreen:

去玩的日期應該會在17-21/5,(唔知而加先揾會唔會太遲呢, 因一直都是想去日本, 無想過去其他地方), 但我都現在還未決定好住邊間好, 因好似間間都好正, 都唔知點好. 可能好似有些話的住2間不同的都好

我希望明日揾到啦...

karenk: 我係經番自己agent塭, 你可打2541 8999睇下幫唔幫到你, Hosumbaba就經Wincastle 訂, 我比較過Hosumbaba 個度坐港龍抵d, 時間好仲有半day local tour, 但我book時遲左, 佢地full晒, 甘若坐馬航就我自己agent抵d, 所以冇法之下揀番自己agent, 不過個total $$都係差少少。
如經asiaair ｂｏｏｋ, 我睇過d媽咪講真係平好多, 但就要一家4口拎埋行李去澳門先上機, 我隻佬怕麻煩, 一定唔會甘做
