There is a subsidy called "Childcare benefit" and "Family Tax Benefit". They all depend the income of family earned. The more you earn, the less subsidy you have.

Would you mind tell me the reason why you don't buy private health insurance? or are you already buy other insurance that cover the health already? How about income protection/ death cover? Any suggestion?

我自己其實就冇乜特別原因唔買保險, 可能touch wood黎講, 暫時Medicare都可以幫到我. 不過我近排就考慮緊做d Education savings, 問緊d banks and insurance companies 欏 information.

我父母都有買, 好似係意外傷亡保險, 佢地就買左十幾年.

一般黎講, Medicare都可以cover到好多野, 不過weakness係如果要入醫院就麻煩d, 例如生仔, 用Medicare, 就只可以係生之前既幾個小時先可以入院, 而如果有買private health insurance, 就可以提前入private醫院等生, 又例如做手術, publice hospital輪候既時間會長d, 如果用private health insurance就會好快可以入到private hospital, 好似我個姑丈咁, 佢早前要做一個小手術, 在公立醫院要等一個月, 佢唔想等, 而佢又買左保險, 佢選擇去private hospital做, 三幾日就搞掂.

我會覺得打工仔最好係買d保險係有包保income既, JA6803你係醫護人員, 可能醫院已經同你買左保險, 你可以問下d同事, 因為醫護人員應該在"Workcover"範圍內.

如果你地想問下d保險既information, 可以試下搵AIA美國友邦保險, 佢地有間公司在Box Hill, 就在Box Hill shopping centre附近, 好似在Box Hill TAFE對面. 佢地有好多唐人經紀.

多謝哂,因為次次都係老公車我出box hill買餸,買完又雞咁腳走,等遲d settle好,而我又自己識出box hill同返屋企,我地再慢慢約埋聚下.
昨天去左camberwell既shopping mall同fruit market格過價,發現都係box hill最平,睇怕又係要日日出去買餸.
呢2日我老公懶且唸住慳埋泊車$,泊左係有蓋1p停車位,叫我2母女看車,點知今日差d衰左,有人抄牌同映相,好先進,成個DHL速遞員咁,都唔知佢係抄牌員,我話老公去借厠所,佢都唔放過,話估我地去shopping,要比warning我地,好在唔洗罚$,如果唔係就慘.

我忘了張紙放係邊,我遲d post返比你知要咩文件去搞medicard. 我總算搞左,依家又要搞個細女針卡,好鬼煩,因為入學要.架車唔一定要加層防晒,只係我老公唸住佢日日揸車送細路,對大同細都多少少保護姐.
下星期好忙,原來幾間學校都搞迎新日,分身不暇,政府學校原來都花費不少,接過仔女既書單,校服單,雜費單,咩form物form鬼咁多,頭都痛埋,反而小學就平好多,aud400/yr 包埋哂書簿只係唔包校服,依家睇下大仔大女買唔買到2手書同校服,慳得幾多得幾多. :-( :-(

Nevermind, I know you're busy, wait your call la.....

I forgot to told you that: Don't try illegal parking in Box Hill as the Whitehorse Council has hired a lot of people to give penalty on illegal parking, I had received 4 "cow meat dry" in the past 3 months, now I prefer to park in Box Hill Centro carpark and then walk to different markets to buy and eat things because the first 3 hours parking only worth AUD$1......
Also, you have to get use to buy more meat, vegetables and food for few days use instead of going to market everyday like Hong Kong as it will save more time to do your own things.

Another thing regarding petrol, does your husband know the best time to fill the petrol?? Actully, the cheapest petrol rate is on every Monday and Tuesday, you better fill full on these 2 days, Thursday and Friday rate are the most expensive, so don't fill petrol on these 2 days ar.....Also, remember to save the supermarket (Coles and safeway) tax involce (you must buy over AUD$30), then you can get extra discount in petrol ar.....

I am very "long gas"......if you have any problem, call me la.....

請問你知唔知有種叫extra insurance?聽朋友講泥種insurance唔太貴一年,但可以保障眼鏡、牙齒等.但好似medicard都包左牙(大人每年一次,小朋友每２年一次檢查同洗牙,但唔包補牙).請問知唔知小朋友筐牙包唔包呢?

其實你覺得泥種保儉有無咩用呢?請比d意見我.唔該晒你.

"cow meat dry" in here that I get is $50 & $64, against different law is different penalty. :-( :-( :-(

Did you have HK driving license?? If yes, have you get it over 3 years??
--> Whether you have a HK license or not, you still have to do the computer knowledge test, hazard perception test and road test, if your license over 3 years, you no need to carry "

" logo in your car when you drive, if you haven't got any license before, after you pass the computer knowledge test, you have to wait 3 months to do hazard perception and road test. If you got a license and have confidence, you can book the appointment of the 3 tests in 1 day/2 days/within few days, however, if the 1st or 2nd test failed, you cannot do the road test and the money cannot be refund.

Driving lesson: ~AUD$30-34/hour (45mins means 1 hour), so usually will learn 2 lessons at a time i.e. 1.5 hours, then will have a bit discount, e.g. $30/lesson, $58/2 lessons + $110 to hire car for road test, if you have your own car, you can use it to do the road test; sometimes they will have package e.g. $280/4 lessons, $320/6 lessons , $500/12 lessons, $620/16 lessons or $730/20 lessons until you pass the road test, of course, not include the fee pay to Govt. (we call "VicRoads" in here)
The driving instructor will come to your house to pick you up, and you will drive back to your house when lesson finished....

I am a person afraid of cool weather but not hot weather, for me, I don't need the air-con., I feel hot at ~3-6pm(if the Temp. is over 33C), after sunset, the weather cool down quickly and will drop to ~15-20C, so you can think think buy the air-con. or not la.....Also, the house I rent have ducted evaporation cooling system, so I no need to buy air-con.

You can have the driving test after 3 months you pass the computer knowledge test. There are some driving school here but they can't let you have the test earlier coz it is VicRoad(Government)'s regulation. VicRoad "reccommend" 120 hours learning before you have the test but they don't check the no. of hours you learn. You can also drive your car providing that a person(with a full license)besides and post a logo"L" on the window of your car(both front & rear), so people usually learn the technique from instructor, if they have confidence, they can drive the car with a "full license" person for practice.
You can use your own car to do the road test but you need to use instructor's car to learn driving.

Computer knowledge test 系唔系好難呢?要答幾多題先可以pass?

如果我有"L"牌同個full license一起就可以楂車練習?系唔系自己練習多d跟師傅學少d鐘都得呢?但考試果陣就要用師傳架要呀?我有本筆試書系英文版,好似好難?如果筆事都肥佬,要再排重考又要幾耐呢?

Computer Test Pass Mark: 50%
Yes you can practise with a full license driver. But how many hours you practise with the instructor, it depends on your need. In driving test, you can use your own car.
Re-test can be immediately but depends on the vacancy, therefore you can have computer test 2-3 times a day if you fail. But you have to pay for each time.
