Ok, 9/9 at 1pm is fine for me. Yes, I know a lot of dim sum places don't take reservation... so not a good idea to go on Sunday lunch time. HK-style lunch is fine. What is restaurant's name? Can people stay in the restaurant for longer time or it's kinda like you need to finish your lunch in 30 minutes or else people will look at you if you don't leave the place type?

Anyway, any restaurant in the Ulfer Center/Milpitas Square is fine for me. :)

小妤媽媽, do you IM? I have IM on everyday and it's a bit easier to do IM then leave/check msg on BK when I am at work. The BK site has too many flashing icon/ad! :mrgreen:

Hi all.

I live in Cupertino with a 16 months old. I was on vacation so didn't check BK forum for long time. Is it a gathering on Sep 9? Can I join?

My friend just give birth last week and she wants to make the "Ginger and Vinegar Pork Leg". She doesn't have help so I don't think she can make it by herself now. Does anyone know where we can buy "Ginger and Vinegar Pork Leg" in the bay area? Thanks.

Yeah, please join our gathering.

You can buy "8 jun sweet vinegar" at Ranch99 (I got mine from Cupertino/Milpitas Ranch 99). I also got ginger and pig hand/foot there as well. My mom said pig hand has more meat than pig feet so we got more hands than feet as we like to chew on some "meat" than bone.

Never mind, I wasn't reading carefully. You are asking where to buy the already-made "pig foot ginger vinegar" huh? Well, I saw that some dim sum place has those occasionally and one time, the Ranch99/Maraina deli area also have those too (where you can pick 3 items with rice those type). But then from what I saw, the one they made in the deli area was not good. Very oily and I don't know what kind of vinegar they use etc. You may have your friend asked those bigger Chinese restaurant and see if they have any or see if she can special order it.

Yeah, those are not good. Better home-made. You may try to ask those "sit moon" center and see if you can special order the pig foot vinegar. People can order the "sit moon" meals package but those are usually Taiwanese style. Though you can still ask. I heard they sometimes have Cantonese "Sit moon" ah yee... and those may know how to make the vinegar.

Oakland China town or Lion 都有八珍甜醋賣, 但八珍甜醋較"傑", 要用米醋稀釋.

That's cool! :) By the way, is the restaurant very small? Can it fit in a stroller (non-umbrella type.. the Graco Metrolite one)? Since my hubby will be out of town, so I will go with bb myself and I hate to carry him the whole time.
