well. i just feel like it will be a waste if i dont work and stay home with the kids since I've studied for so many yrs....it's true if we stop for a couple of yrs it's quite hard to find another job........................

i dont have the patient to homeschool, it's no necessary since my kids r not gifted anyway...so i wont do it naw. it's quite boring if i become a stay home mom. i kinda think that going to work is a break for me....at least for a couple hrs...

that's a good benefit if you could get in u of hawaii. although i think some big companies will have tuition reimbursement if your major is related to work la. however i think u have to pay tax on how much tuition they pay for u . i always want to go back to school but i just dont have time & the energy....

我份part time工咪係eaby囉

.時間夠flexible.反正我屋企多的是junk.我老公做retail嘅,佢對上份工好多時都有employee sale.咁我咪叫佢買定多啲貨放屋企,ｅ+轉咗工就賣返之前入嘅貨.再加上我有時買咗一的唔等駛嘅嘢返屋企,過咗排咪賣出去囉.過咗手”引”就算.

i only sold coupons on ebay before. they make quit alot by charging insertion and final fees and also paypal charge a % too. so I end up not having much left haha. however, it's good to have a 2nd job. my 2nd job is play stocks

我n年前都有買stock,不過做咗依家間公司就冇買lu.因我鐘意玩short term,但我只可以响自己公司入面開account,變相被人monitor我嘅 trading activities.被老細見到太多activities实咋形.
惟有大有大做,細有細做,做住ebay都夠我買袋&首飾俾自己happy吓.

last friday, 肥bear 同我醫院同事.. 夾咗我去job fair..
coming monday 會make appointment 去Methodist Hospital interview, coming wednesday 就去lutheran 見工..
其實做C一間醫院係咪好冇出色呀??
轉去新醫院, 咪可能要由RN做過??
但呢2間醫院好有誠意, 話唐人population 好高, 好需要我哋呢啲multi-lingual 嘅姑娘去help out.
肥bear 同我同事都話見吓冇防... 你哋又點睇..
而家我commute 來回2粒鐘..
但去lutheran medical center (brooklyn 2Ave) 只係10零20分鐘.. Methodist hospital 都 less than 30min..
Methodist hospital 直情叫我on orientation (at Oct 29)..
...我好冇安全感呀!!:-( :-(

no harm to have interview, maybe you can find a more suitable one for you. Commute time is really important for a working mom - 10 mins compared to 2 hours wor... how about the pay, better or the same? I believe that multilingual is at advantage in major cities like NY and SF. I went to interview when I was 7-month and 8-month pregnant. Of course, I could not get a job but you know, it's good to get some experience and know more about your market value. Good luck.

you will not believe that I was so shy and I don't know how to start a conversation with the nursing recruiter inside the job fair. I don't know what should I ask..
Finally, some of the hospitals which my colleages believe those are the best in new york, took my resumes, and set up the interviews for me. One of them even asked me to start the orientation of their hospital and quit my current job immediately.
Let see.. this coming week.... after all interviews.. I may have some idea!

alvin was born in luthern and austin was born in methodist. i think RN is in such a high demand that no matter where u go you could still get a job with high paid. lucky u!

各位媽咪,
我又有野嗔呀.公司係board meeting 度講明, 兼寫明話凍薪既. 點知俾我發現左, 佢地加左一個同事既人工呀. 事緣, 全公司得我同另一個女同事係唐人, 佢做accouunt, payroll, human resource 兼benefit...等等, 佢就真係超級underpaid.我地兩個好friend, 因為我地都係典型唐人, 做野都好搏, 唔叫既都會做埋, 佢好專業, 每次有內幕都未必話俾我知. 但今次佢都忍唔到. 話俾我知有個表現屬中下既同事, 竟然有人工加. 我同佢地好火呀. 個同事係fund development, 做fundraising 既. 佢既上司因家庭問題會由full time 變part time, 可能係咁, 公司怕個department 無哂人, 所以加佢人工留佢. 唉, 咁即係唔出聲既, 好似我地呢啲默默耕耘既, 就可以搵笨啦, 真心淡.

你公司e种情形就成日都会响年底發生,但自己就有怨冇路訴.我係你就一係响boss complain自己underpaid,要公司adjust your salary (係adjust,唔係加薪).如果你做唔出就更加積極搵工.遲d 唔做,一鑊”橋”起佢.咪等佢大細超得咁過引.

如果第2間e院俾到better salary & benefit嘅就咁係走啦!況且commute又好啲.如果人工只相差一萬幾千就要考慮得好清楚,無謂差小小就要重頭嚟過.簡單d講,$$$多就走人
