My ex-maid also had more than 1 mobile phone, one of which is a BLACKBURRY!

Maids may have different phone no for different purposes....They are very very cunning indeed.

你個工人真係好有米! 我個工人同我講一個係roaming, 另一個我估係local吧! 佢兩個mobile都是比較舊, 而且佢應是要養家的.

我真係唔識同佢相處, 本來想好好地, 而家又好似連野都唔想同佢多講. 佢亦好似唔多想聽咁. 大家住埋同一間屋, 個關係好似好怪咁! 真係好唔慣呀!

我昨天鬧左佢幾句, 之後佢唔係太理我, 同佢講野, 都唔多望我. 嬲到我打左比agent, agent話會同佢傾下. 唔知有無用, 好煩!

I was told the Blackburry was a present from her boyfriend in Korea (she divorced her husband in Indonesia while working in HK coz he had an extra-marital affair).

The current maid who just resigned told me she already built a house (her father owns the land) back home using the savings from Singapore (cost about S$10K).

I totally understand how you feel of having someone in your house whom you do not want to see/talk to them. However, we have no place to hide as she is under the same roof with us!

I will go to the agent later on today to look for new maid. Let's see then.

真係唔知講咩好, 剛剛同老公傾完, 佢都覺得個工人唔係咁聽話, 不過佢又話驚愈換愈差.

其實你而家個工人自已要走, 都好過第時你頂佢唔順要炒佢啦, 係咪? 你而家重有個機會下一個工人會好好呢! god bless you!

finally my agent told me that I need to replace my current who will leave in the middle of May, and it wastes my time to think keep her.

可能真係好似你咁講, 佢情緒受佢自己問題影響! 我估佢好掛住自己d仔女, 所以有時好moody! 剛剛打比佢, 又好似心情好好多了, 真係幻變無常!

我用左工人已經快8年, 我都未慣, 何況你?
我比你好彩, 我第一個工人超正, 又捱得又做得. 而家就好似愈轉愈差咁! 人地話呢一代d 工人已經無以前果代果d咁好, 可能而家多左好多人請工人, 所以佢地愈來愈唔憂做!

Just came back from the agent. I did webcam interviews with few maids over there. It's difficult to find one coz there are so many people hiring maids and they are choosen fast.

I finally picked one out the available maids:31 yrs old/married with a 8 yrs old child/4 yrs in Singapore with 1 employer. She doesn't look very smart, but I rather have one who listens to employer than one who is cheeky. Of course, I won't know until she actually comes, so I am taking my chance again!

I found out from the agent that the current maid doesn't like I have ip cam installed at home. She thinks we don't trust her.

註明做過中東的ｊｅｓｓｉｅ　ｘｘｘｘ　ｘｘ甚麼可照顧小孩，真是不放心，小心！其他不大清楚．．．可能好好，但真是下次沒有胆再請中東做過，新手都好過她多多．．．最多多些教她．

真是好．．．就不用去中東，中東又要多小朋友照顧．．．或太多工人，根本不是全能；又不是做得；連對人禮貌都不懂；總之，好食懶事非（事非多多，做事少少）．

I think those relatively decent one are chosen fast.

I have talked to one who has been in the training centre for 4 months. Looks pleasant but only spoke Malay in Singapore and no experience in talking care of young children. Worst of all, still can't speak Cantonese after spending months in the training centre. Will you hire a maid like this?

The web cam incident just showed my maid 係一個幾有性格和自尊心較強的人.Anyway, that's too bad.

乜d 工人真係搶手成咁? 我之前個工人滿約搵工, 佢又同我講好難搵喎! (其實都有offer, 不過佢又會左諗右諗)

唉, 我而家個新工人, 可能見我都會企硬, 好似好左d. 亦都可能初期佢有home sick, 所以咁moody. 呢兩日我唔使成日對住佢, 個感覺又好似ok, 佢都算自動自覺做野. 不過就成日誤會我意思, 可能真係要好似agent教咁, 同佢講完, 要佢講返一次比我聽先得! 不過好似好煩咁! 唉!

I don't know yet, but I have already prepared a speed up letter to Immigration. I guess the fastest will be at least 1 month. I am taking one step at a time;cannot think too much now about going back to work.

Although we should hope for the best, but need to prepare for the worst. Better to keep a close watch of your maid.

Are you a stay home mom now? If so, of course wait for the new maid come and go back to work only if she can be reliable! I become very stressful these days when it's time to pick up kids or time to send them to activities. I worry a lot if she can handle / remember. I feel uneasy when the web-cam can't connect! Hope everything can settle down next month! This really affect my daily work!
