does Mariott inclu breakfast? please advise how did you arrange the timing to book the flight and hotel? did you book the hotel through on-line?

Sorry for late reply. My hubby bought the Dragonair airticket at HK$988.00 as it is an exclusive offer to Platinum visa cardholder. So, we can enjoy cheap fare for this trip. Then, we arrange the hotel room via local travel agency "安運滿fun" (tel: 2810-0918) and they quote us the Marriott Spa & Resort is HK$570.00, include breadfast, for riverside delux room per nite. I think the room rate is cheap as my trip is not at peak season. There is many hotel at Bangkok, all up to your choice!

Hi,

I booked Bangkok trip from Lotus and their package is OK. 3 days 2 night, Dragon air, Banyan Tree at the end of August, 2298/person. They say if in September, it should be 2098. May be this can help.

Going to Bangkok, please be careful with all taxi. When you go into the car, check if they take meter. If not, stop them. Also, better ask hotel to write Thai language for you for the place you want to go. Taxi driver even does not know the famous hotel.

I have just bought flight tickets @HK$988 from Dragon Airline. We planned to book Marriott Resort but the travel agent told that the hotel is in renovation to Oct and the swimming pool may not be opened at that time. That's why the hotel price is much lower. Finally, we have booked another hotel in town centre. It is about $1,000 cheaper than package (flight + hotel).

Sorry for the late reply cause I am busy when I come back.

Anyway, I will pm you the agency, hope it's not too late.

The Marriott 正裝修, the swimming pool is still OK up-to Sept 15, but if they arrange you to 2nd floor or higher floor, they have 7 floors totally, you cannot use the elavator in Lobby, just take a walk and use the another staffs' elavator. Besides these inconvenience, all are pretty good. And you can enjoy the shuttle boat to take a rest for 10 mins. But it may not suitable for the people who go to Bangkok only for shopping because it may be a bit far after the whole day's shopping. The swimming pool always full because most of the foreigners just stayed in hotel and rested in swimming pool.
