I want to ask how many diapers your baby will use everyday? Mine little always pee pee or poo poo when she is changing diaper....so she waste many....about 12 pieces per day (she has rash in her hip so I change diaper frequently, now the rash gone). Besides, how much your baby eats? Now, I feed her 4 oz every time (7-8 times per day).....she is 19 days old and has gained 1 pound and 2 ounces. Will you feed your baby with water? I feed her 2 times before but not much...only about 20ml (between meal, she seems not rejecting). Does your baby have 痰...mine always chucking while she is having milk? What should I do to due with 痰? Pls advise! Thanzzzzz!
I also found breast-feeding ( i pump out milk 'coz my nipples hurt and my baby no longer suck my nipples in correct method now.....'coz' she has been bottle feed with my pump milk for many days and she lost her instinct to open her mouth like a lion) very tiring. I am wondering when should I quite. :-(
My is 24 days and drink only 2.5 zo for 8 times per day. She has gained 1.5 pound since her brith. This a bit worries me as she can drink 2.5 to 3 zo in hospital. I changed her diapers around 8 to 9 times. But she don't poo poo everyday (usu every other day but poo poo is soft and green in color). Same as your bb, she don't like water but I still try my best between meals. (usu. 0.5 zo) I think it's common that BB chucking when drinking milk. I try to stop more frequency and let her take rest more. No worries.
I also pump milk, but only 6 to 7 zo per day (4 to 5 times) It's normnal that BB don't entertaining us once she get used to bottle. I don't know when should I stop pumping... maybe when I am back to office. (early Nov) However, it's time consuming if you have to pump frequently.
Are you taking care of your BB by yourself all the night? I am considering passing this duty to my maid... however, as I feel very tiring about this duty and I am worrying if my maid can handle this as good as me....
I gave birth to my second daughter (3.29 kg) on 21/9 at Union Hospital. She stayed in the hospital till yesterday (30/9) for phototherapy. Hope she will do fine with her first night at home.
I am trying to give her some BM via pumping but formula is definitely required (so that I can spare more time with my elder daughter who is now 32 months old). This baby does not seem to be one who yearns for milk....she always falls asleep during feeding.
I didn't know of this thread until now (coz I was still going back to the forum of "pre & post-natal" for Sep mummies).
My baby girl was born on 9/18 at 2.4kg. She is my 2nd child. I am breastfeeding her with formula supplement sometimes. Does any of you hire "pui-yuet"? I have been drinking papaya fish soup & many other drinks, my milk is only so-so. Maybe 2-3oz each time at 3 hrs interval. I feed my baby 20mins on each breast, both breasts each time. Including burping, it takes me more than an hour to finish each feeding. Not too long later, the whole process has to start all over again! So tired during night time! Let's keep this thread alive to support one another!
#13,
I use Medela milk pump but don't find it satisfactory. I prefer to b/f directly, that is more effective in stimulating our milk production & many more benefits. Strongly suggest u to do it, but u may need to consult the b/f hotline if your nipples bleed. Take care.
