Couldn't agree for more...Chloe...We should be the master of the bag..if i have to too much steps to protect the bags or something about it...I dont think that's a friendly bag me..

On the first day. you might be so careful with the bag..use a cloth to wipe it...put into the box after use..balala....

Then you will discover that it is pretty time-consuming...and you would just put on the table after everytime use. But to me, if i am switching bags, i would wipe it and put into the bag for storage..that's all..

I love Chanel too. They are just so tempting and adorable...

Chanel and Hermes are different types of brand..but i do agreed with other mama said...once you turned into Hermes, there's no way to could walk back..

My mum used to tell me...you would have credit in front of your business / clients if you are wearing Hermes...that's make you more professional and trustworthy. However, this impression would only adopted on top & senior level people. I am the materialistic kind of people but i think the rule somwhow correct in some way...

For me, I seldom bring branded stuff in my company cos all my colleagues are very down to earth type and also, am not in commercial business, am in medical field and it's better not to show much materialist stuff as possible in front of doctors. They are all rich but also very low profile.

aiyah all this talk really makes me want to buy a birkin now (put myself on that waiting list!). The classic brownish tan is still my fav colour. I always have this dream episode of myself (in my ideal figure) carrying this birkin & trenchcoat, in jeans, dark turtle-neck, TODs, whisking through JFK airport...Hmm, but real life, I still have this big tummy from giving birth so the jeans look horrible. The birkin is too heavy so probably a nanny is carrying. One of my babies probably just vomitted on my dark turtleneck. The stroller gets caught on my trenchcoat and is turning over...a nightmare really. The only one smiling is the nanny carrying the birkin!!!

Sorry for my sillyness. But is a 25 or 30 birkin really heavy? Is it suitable for everyday use?

haha, what you wrote was sooo funny!:) I find the Birkin 25 to be way too small. The 30cm is great size to use as a handbag, but not as a tote (that would be the 35cm size). I feel that the 30cm is more convenient to carry, the 35cm is a bit heavy, although the weight would depend on the type of leather you choose also.

1) 穿戴係睇場合, 如果喺非謀利組織工作, 大家都係落手落腳做野, 咁又唔需要華衣美服可能仲阻手阻腳, 咪簡簡單單唔駛奢華, 實事求事囉. 2) 如果在商業地區番工或者行街買野, 想著靚d手挽個名貴手袋, 自己開心之餘又美化市容, 何樂而不為?

我估大家想表達的是不要因為身份背景而剝奪OL或普通人揮霍既權利, 即是在上面第2點的情況, 所有人都有自由去咁做, 唔理你係姨太太, 私人助手, 定係努力儲錢既OL.

至於高唔高貴睇好多因素, 好難單憑職業, 我覺得陳振聰太太攞個鱷魚皮鑽石扣柏金包都唔見高貴, 反而d日本OL落足心樣由頭到腳裝扮, 睇得出佢地真係好貪靚亦精於扮靚, 行出黎一d都唔失禮.

i bot a brand new Kelly croc 2 years ago in Hermes shop (was lucky to see one and bot it after thinking for 1 night). it was outrageously expensive.
i put in my closet for a few mths unused. I sold it taking a few thousands loss because i found it too expensive which does not fit my status (i m just a normal C9).

although i think as long as people can afford the bag, no one wld bother. i also think status and the stuffs u use also correlate

NO! I can tell u that my bank account's savings was not too much more than what that Kelly worths. Just that I like it, I bought it. Abt 3-4 years ago I had my 1st Kelly. Some colleagues came to check out if my bag is real or not as they didn't believe such a junior staff can buy such an expensive bag. I am the kind of person who earns 10k but spend 9k on luxurious goods (bags and watches).

1-2 years ago mkt was doing very good, i guess most people can earn very easy money. But this year will be a super tough year for me and my family. NO MORE HERMES!

used to be 'mo yau' abt $. but this financial turmoil hit my family very hard, so can't buy luxurious goods. but can continue to buy outlet garments gei. actually i hv stopped working for 2 years. to me, I'd rather spend less than working because my job made me old and 'charn'. I had to travel overseas very frequently.

haha, I too, think you're a lucky C9 ah(& I think that of most gals visiting this board). Oh sorry, I mean Ah Tai, heeheehee. Status has nothing to do with $$ in bank acct or salary - I mean, u can be from rich family, or have rich husband, right? OK, forget rich, just u never need to worry about them, and they can take care of u if u get in trouble, moneywise.

I, unlike some Tai Tais here, do care how others look at me. I know some Tai Tais would laugh at me behind my back if I carry an Hermes, & would say it's fake. Worse, when I was working b4, whenever I wore a nice brand, this clerk would come over and say "oh, where did u get that fake XXX, it doesn't look good"

. She spends more than half her salary buying brands, and does look good. But to be honest, it really does not befit her. So I always hesitate to buy, as I don't want to make a joke of myself.

Re Big Lau's girlfriend and the white cloth. I suddenly thot of an explanation. I don't think the bag is her master, I think she was making a statement - showing Lau that how much she "treasures" his gifts. "Since I take such good care of yr stuff, PLEASE give me MORE!!!!"

我個人會覺得用"名牌"真係要身份/身家同地位都相配先內外都好睇,普通名牌如LV, gucci果d就岩星斗市民用, 個個都用無人會笑你用唔起, 因為佢既價錢正正係普通人打工仔8-10k都買得起, 符合好多市民既身份同可以afford既價位, 自己無錢唔緊要,老公有錢就可以, 好似徐子祺咁, 先令人覺得用得"貴氣", 無理由一個拎綜援既人拎住隻Hermers會好睇卦?(講都唔通啦)
