If we want quality, light weight and inexpensive lens, how about a few prime lens, eg 28/2.8, 85/1.8, 200/2.8. the price to pay is of course the need to change lens and have to walk back and forth to frame our shots. But I think it is worth it.

mcben,
Sorry for my late reply. Please check PM![]()
Dom,
BTW, which LENs do you have now? and which LENs do you plan to buy?
mcben,
If you're going to buy 24-70mm f2.8L or 28-70mm f2.8L, I think you'll like it very much after compare with other LENs you have.
After I use 24-70mm, I do not use my 28-135mm any more...
How about your 70-200mm f4.0 L? My personal feeling is my 700-200mm IS is better than 24-70mm... If it's an outdoor activity, I prefer 70-200 even if's heavier...

mcben,
Good, but I like 35/F2 coverage on a film camera. It is 56mm on 300D. When you want to shoot more of the background with the child (I-have-been-here kind of shots), which lens would you use?
