i also don't want to have a maid as all maids are troublesome. but i need one to do houseworks.

one day if i will take care my son i will not use maid. for cleaning job i'd rather prefer a local maid for few hours during weekend. simple cleaning job i can handle it and love to do it myself. i was a full time mammy for a year when my boy was 3 mths old....

YES! every year my HB rec'd hampers with white wine, Peninsula mooncake, HD ice-cream mooncakes and other mooncake vouchers. but this year his working partner cos either closed down or not much biz, so haven't rec'd any.

oh, same to your HB.... so the stock & property markets cannot reflect the whole or true picture. be frank if i have a place to live i may not consider to enter into the market now... but i have no choice.............

wah!! at 330萬, can buy private real estate la! my friend bought a 87x sq ft flat in North Pt hills at only 340萬 just 3 years ago ja.

but looking back, prop prices really rises crazily (not only this year, but every year).
i visited an old flat in Yau Yat Chuen abt 5+ years ago (right b4 i got married) 9xx sq ft at only 2.8m ja!
at that time YYC garden 9xx sq ft newly renovated flat at only 3.8m.
after the 5 years, all flats double or even more than double its price.

although our salaries might have doubled in 5 years' time, we can never ever chase the inflation if the trend is like this. the poor becomes poorer, the rich becomes richer as only the rich has $$ to buy and fry flats.

crazy mkt. but also crazy people as there is still people high chasing prices.

One more crazy thing is real estate agent telling u if you don't buy now you will miss this good chances........

Do you notice in all newspaper every day is saying how much profit is make by selling flat???? 99% is about profit may be 1% is talking loss.

be careful, i believe that the correction for property market will come next year once the global interest rate start to increase. ***borrowing cost will increase sharply next year

I am also in need of moving house and have been looking for property. Prices of property has gone up so much in the last few years. As a result, I might ended up renting. (I hope not)

The rental return on leasing out a property is not good in general. So we all know that it is people speculating on properties. My worry is that the government won't do anything about it as: 1. Needs the tax income. 2. Rich people are all happy as their assets worth a futune. 3. There are still many more mainland money to come.

So when can we afford our dream home?

I do agree that the market might drop back a bit, but with all the reasons above. I don't think it would drop back significantly.

Just my thought.

i agree. i think there will not be a v big correction, maybe 10%. but 10% is more than enough for me.
