我都係 cheap cheap 自由行咋 .. 我同媽咪+囝囝 .. 同你一樣由heathrow搭 underground 去 russell square .. 間酒店都平.. GBP42 一晚 .. 不過因為佢有 lift 搭而且又近 euston station (要搭火車上 liverpool).. 所以揀佢 .. 而 b&b 好多都無 lift .. 唔想我媽咪行咁多樓梯 .. 第二日就坐 bus tour 每度都睇下 .. 然後就買 family card 四維去 .. 盡量搵d ticket 係有 package 咁就慳番少少 .. 最煩就係食野 .. 個套餐係夜晚食 .. 計過同散叫差唔多 .. 又要就媽咪同個囝囝 ..都唔想諗 .. 我已經行左唐人街幾轉格價.. 好就好左佢地會將d餐牌放晒出門口俾人睇 .. 下午我地多數都係食 sandwiches .. fish & chips 一樣係 .. 好貴 .. 其實在 london 我最"赤"係食野 ... 學你話齋 .. 食老麥都好貴 .. 我上 Liverpool / manchester食野又唔係太貴喎 .. 3大1小去飲茶 .. 食得飽飽都係 HKD150-200 .. 而 london交通費都ok .. 買 family card 最抵 .. 原來你同我一樣出ba special 嘅機票 .. 真係好抵.. 我仲包坐埋一程由 Manchester 去 heathrow 添 .. 不過 cheap cheap 自由行就可以睇多d野同感受多d .. 對小朋友都好d .. 我在 London 5日就行足5日 .. 每日都用ba俾嘅水樽 .. 在酒店裝滿水先出街.. 我睇過一樽飲品要 GBP1 ..太貴 .. hahahaha .. 不過比你好彩少少係 .. 每日都晒到 c .. 晒到我塊面紅晒 .. 有朋友曾提我帶太陽油架 .. 唔信 .. 點知真係咁厲害 .. 又乾燥 .. 搞到我同個仔個咀唇都爆擦 .. 要買 vaseline .. 好貴呀 … 一樽細 size 都要 GBP1.4 ..

sammak .. 如果你無小朋友帶去 .. 咁會自由好多 .. 午餐可以試下 pizza hut 嘅 buffet .. GBP5+ 一個人 .. 或者去食 pub meal .. 大約 GBP4 ..

My family are also 親子平價自由行 in February 2004. I stayed in King's Cross also. We booked the Holiday Inn (4 star) 5 nights for HK$4000!

Living in King's Cross is very convenient if you travelled to the north of UK. Besides London, we went to York, Cambridge and Winchester.

We brought a brief case of food and rice cooker as my sons are small (11, 6). I was afraid that they didn't like the food. We ate outside for lunch (唐人街, Pizza Hut and MacDonald) and cooked dinner in the hotel.

I am also interested to read your 倫敦遊記.

你地有無覺得上中菜館食飯 .. london d飯好"鞋" .. d米無香港咁好食 .. 我諗可能係太遠 .. 佢地會一次過入好多貨. .令到d 米舊 .. 不過算啦 .. 好又一餐 .. 唔好又一餐... 都係醫肚jet .. 在英國一個禮拜後.. 我已好懷念香港嘅凍檸茶 ... .. 蛋撻 .. 雲吞麵.. :-( :-( :-(

Is the restaurant you are talking in 唐人街 "旺記"? Many guidebook introduced it. I also want to have a try.

This time, the trip will only have my husband and me.

旺記 is not bad. The staff aren't as rude as those guidebooks said. We went there quite often when we were in London.

If you want good value for money and do not mind too much about the quality of food, try the student canteen at King's College and LSE.

Yes. Actually when we were there in February 2004, they are building tunnels to Europe (just like Euro Star).

Perhaps I should say 旺記 is not bad if you look at its price!! Anyway, there are more lousy and expensive Chinese restaurant than 旺記 in London so we were quite happy to eat there.

The closest tube station to King's College should be Temple. LSE is not close to any tube station but it is a 10-15 minutes' walk from King's college. We usually went by bus (only good for short distance as there are traffic) which is a lot more convenient if you know the place well.

Of course if you are in London only for a day or 2, you may like to try those posh restaurants instead ...

其實 covent garden 有好多唔同種類餐廳 .. 既然無小朋友一齊 ... 去開 covent garden .. why not 豪一次 .. 好好享受你地二人世界 .. 不過去到果面.. 試下 london d 唐餐都好嘅 .. 我食過3間(不同地區) .. 都覺得間間係差唔多咋 .. 而且唔好 expect 佢地d唐餐好似香港咁.. 因貨源關係 .. 佢地用料上會同香港有少少唔同 ..
