Days without a helper is a nightmare, tons and tons of housework everyday, first I thought it's ok I can manage it but when you have to do it everyday you feel like a robot. We living in overseas have no choice cos can't afford to have a helper, miss the days in HK with helper. By the way, I was very lucky I had 4 helpers in last 15 years and they were all very good and helpful.
