Nice to meet you!!! Yep, yep, I'm also a stay-home mom. I quit work couple months ago...used to work but the commute exhausted me...not good for my pregnancy anyway. Do you enjoy being a stay-home mom?? I think it's good for the baby. I want to stay home until the baby is old enough...my and his parents can't really help us...they live far away.. :-|

I read "what to expect" too...useful and serious material. I also have another one "from first kicks to first steps" by Alan Greene, MD...a more fun reading and covers first year as well. Not to mention some chinese pregnancy cookbook...good for before and after pregnancy. Are you a stay-home mom too?

My daughter just turned 15 months and I'm a stay-at-home mom. Also quit my job to care for the little one and hoping to return to work in a year or two. We live in LA too...what city are you in

Lucky girl...I want to go to Boston :-P :-P :-P We're very excited about our end of november trip on the cruise....can't wait to eat in the balcony and enjoy the sea

This will be our first big vacation since Natalie arrived. I hope I won't have to sleep train her all over again when we get back

We live in Rancho Cucamonga...not in LA exactly...next to Ontario if you know where. We used to live in Hacienda Hts and just moved here 2 yrs ago! Do you enjoy your stay-home life?

Was it busy taking care of your daughter? What would you like to do in your own time?

Too bad you moved or else we are really closed to each other. I live in Walnut and most of my family lives in Walnut too. Since I'm the only one that doesn't work, I am the designated "errand girl" for my grandparents. So I take them to the bank, grocery, dim sum, etc...and in return, they will take care of Natalie when I'm busy :-P :-P :-P Honestly, I'm enjoying my stay-at-home mom status a lot more now that my daughter is older. When she was still a little baby, I always regret quitting my job cuz it seemed much easier to work then to take care of her. Since she turned 1 and understands a lot more, it's truly more fun to be at home

So how many months are u in now? Have u got though the morning sickness period smoothly? For me, I remember that was tough: 24 hours of nausea.... But with my baby in cuddle now, everything is worth it! (hehe... and now facing new problem eg. crying crying crying.....

Long time no talk here la. How are you doing gals? I am fine. Just busy for take care my girl and I have a news for US mommies. Some LA mommies knew that, my second bb is on the way in my tummy. It made me sickness and very tired in the beginning. I also have dizzy and no good sleep in the night. Now, it is much better and my energy seems come back again. Additional, I have trouble to take care my girl, she is change very "chi " me and many challeneges about her. Suddenly, I felt very no mood and also I thought I am not a good mom. I can't take care good to my girl. I also thought about negative things. But I know it must my sickness feeling made me down mood, so I stay calm down and wait the time going on. After then, I read a book about my girl age, I find out more knowledge about my girl develop and it is very helpful. My girl is matching all the book said. Thus, my confidence is come back and she improves more skill and toward a good direction. Now, I feel better even though I know the road is long. :-P

I'm in the 5th month...half way la~ I feel like reaching a milestone again...my morning sickness wasn't too bad; at least I didn't vomit...but I lost weight because of that. I'm playing catch-up now since I gain my appetite back!

Are you breastfeeding? I want to and look forward to it since I won't be back to work soon (no excuse!). How often do you have to wake up each night? I can totally feel how much you love your baby... hang in there!

Good that you've family around...my parents and grandparents all live in San Francisco...otherwise it'd be more fun. My parents will come and visit me this Thanksgiving...yeah! Finally my mom can see my big belly!! So...your stay-home life is quite fulfilling!! Can she walk? I think about 1-2 yrs old is the cutiest time of a baby...

Yes, I got your email and makes my mouth water knowing that we will have buffet :lol: :lol: :lol: I will arrive around 1pm that day. Karina is so good, only wakes up 0-1 time at nite. Natalie got some candy from the mall but she doesn't know they are candy so therefore her mommy stole them from her

Let's talk more on 11/12...and I love the boo bee boo bee pictures

Don't get too stressed out, Natalie sometimes behaves badly too and very "chi sun". I just let her "chi" me cuz I know later on, she will grow up and won't "chi" me lu :-( :-( :-( Can't wait to see your little tummy on 11/12

It will be nice when your parents come down for Thanksgiving. Will your mom help out after you give birth

It will be must easier to have someone sit moon for you. You're rite, the baby understands a lot more after 1. Natalie and I like to count her toes together and yesterday i realized she can say some numbers between 1-10. When I say 1,2, she will say 3, then I'll say 4, then she'll say 5,6....so exciting

My mom hasn't decided if she'd stay for "sit moon" period since my in-laws may come from HK. They want to take turn...lucky me! My hushand plans on staying home with me after baby borns. Look at you, you're so enjoyed spending time with Natalie...how beautiful life is when you can look at it through your kid....even counting toes! But this memory is gonna be priceless for both of you.

I'm very happy for you that both your in-laws and parents are so willing to help. My hubby was only able to take a week off when I gave birth to Natalie. Then it was my sister and cousin who came over and hung out with me for the first few months (desperate times)

They would bring food from my parents' house so I didn't have to worry about cooking. Til today, Natalie survives on my grandma's cooking...haha...her mommy is not very domesticated

What do you while you're at home now? We have LA Moms Gathering once in awhile, you should come join us

I would love to join the next LA Moms Gathering!!! Let me know... Since I'm home most of the time, I read, chat online, cook and run errands if needed. I chat with my sister online almost everyday...she works in San Francisco. Do you use Yahoo Messager? I use it to keep in touch with friends. I bake if I find a really good recipe...that pretty much is my hobby; cooking comes second.

Yes, I am a happy mommy now. I feel my tummy bb is moving a lot. My girl kisses my tummy bb yesterday. She also be a role of my OB, to hear my tummy bb heart beat. heee...... Little Fat Man is going to HK la... If you go back to HK next Jan, the Chinese New Year seems in the end of Jan. Good wow..... Kurt will get more lucky money!

Thank you! I am happy when I know I " Bingo"! Just a lot of thinking when in the beginning. Worry this and worry that. Now is ok la. Lately, my girl is nice to me, she give me cover the blanket when I rest in sofa and my bed. My heart is very sweet ah, heeeee...... I saw Amenda's photo slideshow la. It's cutie... I also glad to know Amenda had a successful trip with yours. She has a good fairy lady to go to bathroom by herself. Did she use training diaper during in the day time? You can take more long trip in the future la... :-P

It's ok. I felt so absent-minded during my pregnancy too! My due date is next year mid-March...the bb is about 22 wks now. Still couple months to go...too bad my family is not around. But they said they'll when bb is born. So how old is your bb? what r u going to study next Jan? Somehow I miss work 'coz I like to be productive, but I don't think I can at least for a year.
