I’m going to Sabah on May 02.
I’ll arrive at KK at 18:25 but will fly to Tawau at 6:10 on May 03. I’ll stay at Berjaya Palace Hotel.

could you suggest me some local restaurants in downtown? How many minutes by taxi to the food stalls at the seaside next to Center Point, Plaza Wawasan and Prince Philip Park?

I will stay at Semporna's Seafast Hotel on May 07. Are you familiar with that town? If yes, please give me some tips.

Make sure you eat seafood days and nights in Tawau and Semporna coz most seafood in Sabah are supplied by these two places. In Tawau you can go to 美心, it is in downtown and close to Berjaya Palace Hotel but for outsider like yourself best to catch a taxi. Also fish maw cheap in Tawau, you can buy from centre market if you have time.

Can't give much comments on Semporna but it is such a tiny town, the restaurant by the shore is where we usually went for meals.

“不過我就吾係好明你地究竟想溫點樣既美吃﹖中餐﹕香港有喇﹖馬來餐﹕街邊小檔你甘吾甘試﹖” I don’t need luxury restaurant. I want 街邊小檔. I don’t mind dirty environment. If the food is cooked in front of me, that’s ok. On the next few days, I will stay in the paradise mentioned below but only western taste is available. Therefore, the more 街邊 the better.

“The restaurant by the shore is where we usually went for meals”, this is enough information, I will find it.

Actually, my destination is not tawau and semporna. My destination is the best place on earth: Sipadan, Kapalai and Mabul. I will stay at KK at the first night and Semporna for an afternoon and a night on the 6th day. Fly back to HK via KK on 7th day.

Not surprise you destination are the islands coz there is really not much to visit in the small towns :) I have been to Sipadan, very very nice, mabul good also. Just to share a note, the water on the island are quite salty hence when you shower the soap residue is very hard to wash off, but really nothing you can do unless you bring bottle water with you

Yes, the bottle water is expensive on the islands. I will buy a lot in Tawau for drinking. I won't use much soap because the paradise will make you protect their environment automatically.

I finally meet some people here know 沙巴 well.

Not far from KK, there is the tallest mountain and islands with richest sealife in SE Asia. KK is only the capital city of 沙巴. Unfortunately, those places are not suitable for small children. I have been waiting for years until my kids grow up and could go with my wife alone.

你唔講我都唔知咁危險架, 我仲同埋兩個仔tim

rafting 我兩個仔都玩得好happy, 但好可惜沒有得拍video :-|

Ai, I can’t afford to take the kids to east Borneo. :-( I’ve joined a cheap bom bom $799 group tour to Hoi Nam Island in their bloody long school holiday, then leave them at home and have our honey moon in the Labour Holiday.

You know, the wonderful islands in east Borneo do not suitable for kids. We have to take 45min flight, 1 hr land, 1 hr boat to the Maldives like islands. Moreover, there will be nothing to do on the islands except sleeping, swimming, eating, watching sunrise and sunset and diving. I won’t get bored because I will dive 4-5 tanks a day

The sealife there is world class. Many documentaries on TV are taken there, you know.

我地玩 grade 2 rafting呀! 我起初都好擔心, 但佢兩個係都要玩,原來都好安全, 冇問題架!!

-現在唔係雨季, 我地只係第2天下午落左一陣雨, 去island 唔熱, 但係town 就好鬼死熱! 晚上就涼涼地.

-我有去睇螢火蟲 & 金絲長鼻猴, 最緊要帶蚊怕水& jacket, 因為晚上坐船會有d 涼. 我果晚去個月光好亮.....所以d 螢火蟲唔係太光, 但真係有幾多架, 好似聖誕樹咁!

-我只係去左沙比島, d 沙唔夠幼, 有珊瑚拮腳, d 魚(近岸) & 沙唔夠布吉 d 島仔靚, 但衛生就好好多.

-我細仔都係唔識游水架, 佢7歲半,佢都有跌落水玩, 個船伕仲扯佢兩次落水, 我地仲撞左好多次石, 人地都冇我地撞得咁多, 我地隻船有4個小童, 大既係10歲, 細既係我個細仔,個船伕同我地玩得好投入, 我d 小朋友好enjoy, 臨尾個船伕掉晒我地落水等我地游埋岸去, 結果我兩個仔起初都好happy,冇耐大叫help, 因為佢地見到一大堆唔知係乜既小昆蟲,笑到個個死死下. 唔怕架, 件救生衣好安全架. 係我地之前果隻船, 有兩個小朋友仲細, 我估k2-3, 都有玩, 唔洗擔心
