Can I know how long it takes to go Koh Tao & Koh Nangyuan? Did you take speedboat and the big boat (is it called Lomprayah?) I heard ppl taking the big boat still vomit, just worry if the kids can take it.

I think I have to look to you for advice again because we have decided to go to Koh Samui
We will drive
I read somewhere that there is little streetlight on the island after dark
how about the area around Renaissance
is it save to drive back to the hotel at night

My son is also born in October
He is just one year younger than yours
do you recommend any hotel in Koh Samui that is nice
we tend to stay at Renaissance as dcca said it's very clean and new
but it is very expensive at Christmas time

Yes, I joined Lomprayah. I stayed at Koh Nangyuan only. We could feed plenty of beautiful fishes at shadow water. It took more than an hour to Koh Nangyuan. All of us were ok (nobody vomit).

I recommend hotels located at the centre of Chewang Beach.

For hotels with many facilities : Amari Palm Reef

For smaller hotels : Iyara, the location is good but the swimming pool is small. I had buffet dinner there, I found it value for money. There's live traditional Thai music & dance performance.

For budget travellers : Al's Resort / Al's Hut

I stayed at Bann Haad Ngam in August 06 but I would not recommend this hotel for family travel.

Renaissance is located at Lamai Beach, the 2nd busiest beach. I don't have info on this.

Pls check if the weather is fine during Christmas.

I also find lots of positive comments about Amari Palm Reef from guidebooks and other
convenient location and good services etc
not a single adverse comment so far

comparatively those who had stayed at Renaissance simply said it's a beautiful resort
So I will ask my boss to choose between the two

I have also visited Thailandfan
The information are useful
but there aren't many people who are married with kids as I seldom saw replies to posts asking what to do where to stay etc if they travel with kids to Koh samui

so did your son snorkelled or simply stand on the shallow water to feed the fish? Is the snorkelling tool clean and suits small kids?

d浮潛用品ok架
有大人同細路size
但細路size對我個3.5歲仔黎講都係大
記得做好防曬準備唔好曬傷
我地著住長袖衫去玩架
要自備大毛巾
同預左冇淡水沖身

Day 1
諗住下午到步出chewang大街逛下搵local tour
但我地班機唔知做嘜遲左３hr
去到已天黑，晚餐都唔使食就沖涼訓覺

Day 2
食完酒店自助早餐就出chewang大街
因時間尚早冇嘜鋪頭開
anyway我地想唱錢同報團
係大街既其中一間local agent
報左個即日環島遊
同day 3出去koh nganyang + koh tao
環島遊約12:30-18:30
晚上係chewang大街ｄ餐廳ｅ肚

Day 3
一早有車接去碼頭出海
碼頭有light breakfast供應
去唔同島既人會在手腕綁上唔同顏色絲帶
我報個團會去koh nganyang + koh tao
但我同ｄ職員講只去koh nganyang
因為我覺得 koh tao唔啱細小朋友
記住做足防曬同帶bread餵魚
午餐於koh nganyang
５點到返到酒店唔願再出去
晚餐去左酒店既Olivio食
食物正又好feel

Day 4
(我其實想去親親海獅，不過老公唔想）
按排好車下午到Lami - Tiger Zoo & Aquarium後
朝早出chewang beach 行下
亞仔筆下沙，我地行下坐下
食下燒粟米
經過Iyara見有dinner buffet就book左
Tiger Zoo & Aquarium冇嘜驚喜
但有得抱住水瀨同捉住鸚鵡影相
返酒店後仲有時間去泳池玩一陣水
晚餐於Iyara有傳統泰國音樂同dance表演

Day 5
一早就要走lu
亞仔話d沙好靚，個海灘好靚
ｄ魚好靚，酒店好靚
唔想走喎

hello all mums,

My friend had her honeymoon at Sila Evason Hideaway. She told me the food was fantastic and the service was good.

We're planning to visit Koh Samui next month with our daughter. She's turning 7 months next week. This trip is to celebrate our wedding anniversary, but also want to take our little baby with us. We'd like to join a fishing tour in one of the mornings. Does anyone know which resort has provided child care service...only for couple of hours.

I do think you shall not be enjoyed your vacation if you brought your 7mth baby along with you.
Just imagine you need to overcome the problems of feeding milk, congee and change diapers so frequently a day, But then you do these outside......
You also have to consider 水土 for a toddler......
I also think it's too small putting a baby on jet owing to air pressure......etc.

Hello April mama,

Thanks for your advise, My mum has also suggested us not to take her with us, but my hubby doesn't want to leave her even one single night.

We'd also like to see if she's ok traveling short distance by plane. If she's fine, we're going to take her to Canada to visit her aunties and uncle.

We have also expected no fun trip, but just want to get away and relax. I haven't been traveling for more than a year... I used to travel 4 times a year ga... :-( Anyway, many thanks, we'll take precaution!!!

Your humor is well comprehensible and also I think you do make a proper choice on your own.

In Thailand, lower civilization, really have to take extra precautions towards your kids during your vacation.

Good, except for rain for just about 1-2 hr in one of the afternoons where we're having indoor activities.

I did not have much time to enjoy hotel facilities during my visit to Koh Samui. So long as the location is convinent, I think small hotels are ok.
