i am a nurse from one of the private hospitals in Kowloon side. i read a lot from different forum about mainland mothers delivered their babies in HK. That kind of mothers increased to 60-70% from last Sept because HA hospital raised their deposit to $20000 once they admitted. As a health care provider, I can't reject their admission. But, the situation is getting worst. Most of them did few times antenatal check up. Heavy workload turn up to inadquate nursing care. Lack of antenatal check up turn up to given birth many problem babies to overuse HK medical resources. Sometimes, they carried infectious disease and going spread to normal mothers. As people said, most of them have great distance culture from us. They speak loud, poor hygiene and poor attutide will make you sick. Moreover, the heavy work load due to the Mainlanders turn up to lot of nursing staff resigned.
Lack of beds to receive local mothers. How you feel you going to deliver when all hospitals are fully occupied? I hope HK government has to tackle the problem faster. I will support the parade and I will be there with all of you![]()
