有呀！我每日都感覺到BB踢我，特別在夜晚睡覺時，當我打側瞓時，佢就會手腳並用的踢我。當我老公用耳仔在我肚皮上聽她心跳時，佢好似知道的，特登踢我老公耳仔，好鬼攪嘢。我BB好大可能係女仔，老公時常話點解女仔禁粗魯。可能似我。

We bought some baby stuff when we went back to HK in Oct. But the most important thing to buy is the baby cot. Have you bought already? Or do you have any suggestion where can I find durable and reasonable price cot?

不過我係香港生的, 我見到你個似list　ｄ物品似係政府生的, PRIVATE 生通常有比日常用品的,其實好多野都可以係醫院buy的!

(1) 產科門診證 ,孕婦身份證及丈夫身份證副本
(2) 紙巾1盒,初生嬰兒紙尿片一包, 莊生濕紙巾 / 連盒, 尿片墊, 大毛巾1條, 面巾1條 (你如果開刀的, 生完之後都唔可以沖涼, 不過可以多1條小毛巾 FOR CLEAN UP BODY)
(3) 產婦衛生巾0包'非黏貼型' (入院時及剛生完時用, 因入院時若就生得, 就連內衣褲都不可穿) (未生可以用普通衛生巾, 產婦用的太大條,不舒服)
(4)產婦衛生巾1~2包 “黏貼型”(生完配合網褲用) ,胸圍2個,網衭3~6兩條 (有D媽媽佢地返而用普通衛生巾 & 網衭, 不過我用普通大肚褲, as i have the skin sensitive for the 網衭, 不過網衭真係方便, 起碼可以用完即棄)
(5) 保溫杯, 拖鞋, 面巾(duplicate), 牙刷, 牙膏, 洗面奶, 面霜, 洗頭水, 沖涼液, 徐了面霜同洗面奶之外, 你不如問下what is the green bag included?)
(6) 紗巾數條(事先要洗軟 / 餵奶墊住用), 小膠盆一個, 棉花一包 (清潔嬰兒臀部時用), 凡士林 (保護bb pat pat)

I know they speak Singish instead of english but they do not think so, right. They think their spoken english is perfect. I have been working in Singapore before. All my colleagues are Singaporean. In the very beginning, I really cannot catch what they said. They were very surprised and asked if I have learnt English in Hong Kong. Oh, no! I have got some bad feelings when working in Singapore. Some of them looked down on foreigners. I think it is the success of the Singapore govt. They are proud of being a Singporean. That's why I am back to HKG to work.

I consider to be back to Singapore just for my son. I think the languages in Singapore are better than that in HKG. May I know any information about the educational system of Singapore? If my son starts kindergarten, when do I need to find one for him? When he reaches 2 years old or when is the latest? My son is now 1 year old.

My parents stay in Singapore but they have no idea about education in Singapore as my son is the first and the only child in the family. My family members live in Bukit Batok and I visit them at least twice a year. Where do you live?

On the other hand, I understand my son has to perform national services if we come to Singapore. What do you think about national services in Singapore? Good training or waste of time?

Is your son S'pore citizen? If you ask 10 guys, 11 guys will tell you national service is a waste of time. you may find the 12th perosn to tell you NS can train you son become more independent. Yes, but does it need 2 years to train that?
But on the other hand, I also believe it's better to have education in spore unless my son could be a high flyer in HK. So there's really pros and cons.
Actually pre-primary education is not complusory in S'pore, so it depends on when do you want to start. Usually, parents will send their kids to nursery 1 in the year when the kids reach 3. so 2 years of nursery, 2 years of kindergarten. and then will go P1 in the year when they reach 7 years old.

講返正題, 其實係Thomson生,主要帶自己0的野就得,BB
0既野醫院都記埋數啦,唔需要帶,唔會貴好多, (D尿片同濕紙巾用剩可以攞走). 出院時,護士會幫BB 包到靚靚,有埋衫仔,無須擔心.

其實,個青色袋入面都係一D廣告,sample之類0既野.
開胸睡衣0既用途係方便breastfeed.你係咪會breastfeed 呢? 我係支持breastfeed0既,對BB 好,又唔駛錢.
我係順產,無痛分娩. 最後,新加坡D醫院可以攞埋 birth cert, 如果已經想好名字,就可以順便攞埋.

Thank you so much for your information. My son is not a citizen. I have to apply PR for him. But I think he has to perform national services when he reaches 18.

Then I plan to start his N1 in Singapore when he reaches 3. When is the latest for me to find a nursery for him (I mean enrollment). One year before? or few months is OK? How much does nursery cost approx.?

Hi Doris,
It's actually depends on which kindergarten or child care centre you want to go. Some popular ones, you may need to enrol earlier(maybe at least 6 months before I'm not sure). Some they may have vacanies, then you can enrol him anytime. (by the way, those with vacancy do not mean they are not good) :wink:
Actually only recently when I need to look for a child care centre for my son, I found that in s'pore, child care centre is equal to a full day kindergarten. not like in hk, they're separate things.
For the fees, it's a big range. from appox $350-800, this's for child care since I'm searching for one. and this price is after subsidy. (you can check the website of "MCYS singapore" for details)

仔女對我和老公都冇所謂，只要佢健康就好了。我們沒有考慮過保留umbilical cord blood，我們會捐出來。

sorry for the very late reply coz we (me, my hubby and my daughter) got sick last week, u know we all are not singaporeans here, no family members nor relatives to help out at all, we went thru a very tough time last week, anyway, we're all recovering now!

regarding to the education system in sg, i guess Isaliz
should know more than i do, haha..she's a primary teacher and been here for the longest among us! anyway, if u want to know more u can browse around this website, it's very useful and must keep for future reference if u decide to put yr boy study in sg. http://www.moe.gov.sg/

when was the year yr boy been born? coz sg starts pre-nursery at the age of 3, but it relies on the year of born too, like my gal who was born in 2004, she can only enter pre-nursery on jan of 2007 then n2, k1, k2. there are also alot of different types of nursery, some are only for nursery and kinder like the one my gal is going to enter, only 2hrs daily for pre-nursery and 3hrly for n2-k2, some are like a childcare center, opens 7am-7pm, i think it's similar to the one in hk called full-time nursery, rite? '

yes, i understand how u feel, if u decide to put yr boy to study in sg, u'll have to go visit the school nearby yr block, talk to the princple and teachers, understand more how do they treat the children and the curriculum, etc...i stay in woodlands, not far from Bukit Batok.

regarding to NS (national service), sigh...what to say? u think sg can defend itself? only if the supplies won't properly import from malayisa, we all will die lah, that's why having a boy may need to re-consider to stay long in sg coz that stupid NS really waste of time!

i hope i've answered all yr questions and hope to see you here one day!
