Oh I see! You mean that I can stand few feet in front of my kid in order to take a 'close up' photo (of course, I need to observe the minimum focusing distance). I just focus and press the button. Am I right?

影企/坐定定之小朋友, 揀單次對焦, 半按快門鎖住focus, 再按埋餘下快門去影會好d

I think it is easy to take close up photo if my kid could 'stand' steadily, like Chloe. However, my kid likes to run & it is difficult for me to take a good photo.
Any tips???

影活躍的小朋友, 就要將對焦模式set 為 "連續對焦" , 用埋快門先決, set 1/250秒 (for example) 去影
用左 "連續對焦", keep 住半按快門, 一路追 (係企定 pan 鏡去追, 自己唔好追), 部機會一路對焦, 到自己認為ok 果一刻按埋餘下快門

Tomorrow, I would try A16 to take photos with my kids. Any tips? Should I use Auto mode in order to take an 'acceptable quality' photos?

戶外 ?
可以用 A mode (canon Av mode), 光圈先決, set 最大光圈影
亦可用 S mode (canon Tv mode), 快門先決, set 高d 快門去 capture 動作

如果到時真係唔掂, 即時轉返 auto 或者d 公仔 mode, 總之影到真貴一刻, 同埋同小朋友一齊玩的歡樂就得

(唔好淨係顧住影相呀, 要同小朋友一齊玩架)

Which metering modes should I use when I take photos for my kids? What are their difference?
I take photos for my kids today (a hot sunny day). I find their faces are dark in some photos. Is it the problem of metering?
Metering mode of 400D : Evaluative metering, Parital metering, Centre-weighted average metering.

唔好咁叫我.

在日頭猛太陽下, 好多時因為背景太光而影響測光, 形成臉部黑左.
可以試下用 partial metering, 測臉部光, 咁影出來會好d
另外, 可以用閃光燈補光都得
又或者要注意光線方向, 避免背光之下影相

仲有樣.. 白衫, 好淺色既衫好易"賴"野, 呃左個測光.
用partial metering影半身, 但著白衫, 一樣好難會有正確曝光. 影大頭就無問題

As I go to Sabah with my kid and my new 400D + A16 + 50mm/f1.8 this Friday, I need to be familiar with my new DC as soon as possible.

Could you tell me the ways to avoid 'out focus' or simply I mean how to take 'sharp & clear & beautiful' photos?

首先練習半按快門去鎖定焦點 (以唔太走動情況), keep 住半按快門 (唔好鬆手), 再構圖
背光時用spot metering, 或者加 ev, 又可用 flash 補光
