Long time no see!
Hope you can have more spare time with your cutie.

Is there a special reason why chung yi likes to take a tram to school? Maybe she will tell you!

Rachel also got very unreasonable requests, e.g.
- want to sit by herself in a van/bus,
- want to close the toilet door and wee wee in a restaurant toilet by herself,
- want to change clothes/pants by herself closing the bedroom door,
- want to stay up & play while it's nap time, etc etc....

I WAS FED UP too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!But it's just sooo hard for me to DICTATE. If she got a bad day daytime (cried a lot of times), she reacted with speaking/crying in her dream over 10 times. Thus, I have to "la mor" to persuade her or sometimes tempt her with candies, and tell lots of reasons, etc..... to avoid her having too much negative emotions. Sooooooo very tired. Give me a break!!

Just so nice that the school provides the voucher scheme form. Already filled them out and dropped in mail.

You are so efficient to fill the form and drop it in mail....hee....hee...

Do you choose "A" on item 1(f) of Part 3? I am wondering whether it is a correct answer for us although I think it is the most suitable answer (as our kids are already studying in SJS but answer "A" stated that the kid is not studying now but shall enroll into kindergarden in 2007/08)..

What means by "music" class? Playing drum? I think Hang Hang also has been admitted into two gym class...

Maybe both of the "ting" "ting" voice generated by the tram and the running mode of it giving Chingyi a feeling that she is sitting in a toy car and she likes it....

...I feel that Hang Hang also likes to take tram as he used to have more movement when we are taking tram.

chungyi requested to sit on the toilet seats outside while i always hold her on my hands usually (you know the toilets outside are awlful) but after i told her that her 'pat pat' will get painful if she sits there, then she always says that she has to 'face' the toilet if wee wee outside and at home she can 'sit' there.

she even asks for changing the clothes for me!!

Ha ha ha!!!! We're facing the same problem. Will try out your method by telling her it will be painful to sit on the outside toilet.

Wonder what kind of education they received at school! Treat them to be very "independent" just at 2 something!

"she even asks for changing the clothes for me!!" so funny!!!!!

This morning, she requested me to sit down and let her comb and tidy my hair, which I do it for her every morning!!! What a "copy-monkey"!!!!!!!!!

Wow, it seems all the girls are having the same problem. Is it the drawback for being trained as so "independent" in school? It's not easy to deal with our little one now (maybe they think they are not little anymore)!

Lorraine has enrolled in the Africa drum and gym courses for this term. She likes playing drum, that's why she sometime plays her drum set once she woke up (before 8 in the moring

)

i called the associate this morning (forgot the name), they said we should fill in 'A', although i doubt, will follow what she said. maybe i put a sticker note telling them that they are studying there. at least i'm not hiding any facts. it's so scary that if we hide away any facts, we will be disqualified. ?-(

Congratulations that Lorraine can enroll in the music class!!!

The school said that NOT every student can have a chance to attend every type of extra-curricular activities, cos' might not be offered next semester, and if still over-subscribe, draw lots again.

Like Lorraine, Rachel likes to play her electronic drum set too! She will INSTRUCT us to dance with her, ha ha ha :)

Dear all~~

I would like to know when your kids started to speak and how did it happen?

Hang Hang still does not know how to speak although he has over 2 years-old. A speech therapist under SJS group has come to school yesterday morning and Ms. Lai has referred Hang Hang and one other classmate to the speech therapist. The speech therapist taught me and Ms. Lai how to stimulate Hang Hang to talk. I followed her instruction last night to repeat so much vocabulary to him and requested him to speak out the name of food when he want to eat. However, he refused to do so and cried at the result of my turned down of his request. The speech therapist also told Ms. Lai not to give him food unless he speaks out the name of food. At a result, Grandma said Hang Hang ate so many things after school. Maybe, he is so hungry in school yesterday after the implementation of the training.

我都認為語言治療師方法 work，凱晴自細要食咩, grandma 都係要佢講咗先有得食，起初要佢講 Thank you, 唔該, pls 等，大一點, 要佢講埋食物名，先有得食，不過我覺得係湊凱晴既 grandma & 工人姐姐都喜歡講嘢，所以凱晴都好快學會! 聽講男仔講嘢係慢d，但一係唔講，一講又好快學會，同佢傾多d計，鼓勵佢多d，努力!

i think the way to stimulate him to talk is right. although chungyi is now 31 months and she knows a lot of words, i always make her to speak full sentence by using this method. it works.
maybe you try to understand more from ms lai how much finally he eats, i don't think they will give nothing for him to eat if he doesn't talk.
does he like singing? this is a good way to talk.
maybe you make some funny sound when talking so that he feels talking interesting.
don't give up ar!
