adult....can stay at home...sleep/eat/dvd/games....i enjoy these as well....but how abt children....?? just stay inside...they'll just "kill" me...ask me to play w them....

for the kid - not sure how old is your kid - but you could enrol them to the library/community center program which will keep both you and the kid busy.

or if you send the kid to the day care, let the teacher there to concern how to "exhaust" their energy...

my girls are older now, they will find their own entertainment at home. when they were younger, there were no problems too. my elder girl will watch tv, younger one will "open" her restaurant (play with her toy kitchen) and prepare meal for me. so I have to eat and eat and eat at her restaurant while watching tv, reading books.

my 2 boys....age 4 & 1.5......so....they a killing me.....the elder one - will send him to school...but u all know....some is 2 days a week...hv to wait after move in canada.....

for the smaill....big big problem to me.....day care is quite expensive......then...still too young to "communicate".....need to take time loh......

now... starting to "learn" the CA life from website 1st.....

we had dim sum lunch with the god children's family -and chit chat what the kids want to do in the future.

my elder godson said - " i just want to work for other, so that he could be 9-5, 5 days work, etc. no extra responsibility.

my second god son is funny - he wants to open up his own "no Frills" store, and wants to have 11 kids - 11 kids...s (no kidding) he wants to have enough family member to have his own socer team...
all the kids will help out in the No frills - be cashier, stock keeper, cleaner and all sorts of admin work.

we will have VIP coupon to purchase goods from the stores. (that's good) but when I asked how much. he said o$100 per month.. not even enough to buy the toilet paper, detergent and all sorts of household stuff.

you see, nowadays, the kid has no sense of $$ mgt, they think $100 is a los. but in fact, can't buy anything...

when we complaint $100 is too little, he said, o.k., you come to work for me and I paid you minimum wages...

ha by the time he grew up to have his own business. i am so old - and he still expect me to work... poor me....

i asked my daughter to bake me a dried fruit butter cake on sunday, yummy yummy. i told her very delicious and ate 3 big slices; and then i crowned her as family pastery chef. she then asked me will she get paid for being the pastery chef next time.

she is 13. i am lazy to bake now, so whenever, i want to eat a particular cake or cookie or dessert, i will have her to bake for me. she will sometimes invent some "strange thing" for me to taste. i am her "lab mouse". we usually have all the baking ingredients at home. she will do the baking every week.
i have ordered cold cheese cake (blueberry) for this week already.

my daughter had baked the blueberry cheese cake (hot), not cold one. she cooked the fresh blueberry with sugar and white wine for the filing because we cannot find the blueberry jam or blueberry pie filling. yummy yummy, nearly finish half of it in less than 10 minutes. i paid her $1 for her work - "lim kai lo kung"
