Actually, if I am going, I think I should leave as early as possible, not only for the air ticket fare, but to have more safety margin in case there is any incident I need to take a short trip back to HK.

By the way, some newspapers here has confirmed the information about the deadline of Jun 2010 and you can find it through the Q&A section within the dept. of immigration and citizenship. Some people predict the air tickets' price will be very high in 2008 as well.

I have questions. As my baby will be borned in the coming July in Melbourne, is she automatically Australian citizen even my husband and I are PR now.

If she is not OZ citizen, can she get the OZ passport ? Because we plan to go back HK in Sep this year, she must have OZ passport for travelling.

And, my husband and I are staying here near to 1 year, we think that we may complete the two years jail before 2008 Nov and get the OZ passport half year later of it. At that time, my daughter is just only 1.5 year-old, does she need to be here up to two years-old?

You and your husband are PR, your child born in OZ is certainly a citizen automatically. The baby can obtain a passport anytime as well.
