Thanks for sharing your method of helping Hei Hei to take milk from the bottle.
Lulube has never touched the bottle for > 1 month already. He only prefers the cup although he takes in max 2.5 oz.
I understand how you feel about your 99's story. Did you talk to her/your husband about it? Just 88, how did you find out?
I have the same worries too. My 99 takes care of Lulube when I'm at work. Sometimes, when I'm home, I notice that there's strange things in the rubbish bin...I know she's fed other things to Lulube. But of course, when my husband asked her, she said no.
The feeling of "no trust" is so sad, and it makes me worry about Lulube even more.
It's the first time that I see your son's photo - he looks so much bigger then his age!!
Must be coz' he's so much hair.
BBs change every day - that makes life so exciting for us!
In fact, I prefer Lulube to sleep than eat because I think he can "grow more meat" and "waste less energy" by sleeping!
Don't :-( lah!
Not good for milk supply ah! And the worst part is, Kyan will notice it.
冷戰 is a painful experience - maybe you can try to talk to him first. Men always prefer "soft" to "hard" wor!
Being a mother and a wife is such hard work.
mikitten,
Yes, but has just taken one with the cap, as he doesn't like the cap. I want to show you but sorry that I don't know how to upload in this box!
Lamblamb,
Same as you, I also wants him sleep more, and gain more meat! In fact I believe most of his weight gained from his addiction to sleeping in the first four months.
Ha ha, my son has that much hair since birth, but is getting lesser and lesser as he likes to 兩頭擰 before fallen asleep, and there is some sign of 禿頭 in his back.
Lamblamb,
When can BB start to use training cup? As my BB refuse to use bottle too, he only drinks half ounce of water every day. I am afraid that's not enough for his age.
You mean Lulube doesn't use milk bottle at all no matter what brand you are trying?! I think the most important thing is just the 'nipple', right?! Anyway, I was trying harder nowaday! I feel abit fed up rather to feed him directly!
I aslo thinking that to use spoon or training cup to try it out, but just scare that he wants me to feed him by this way, then I will fall down!
May be I will let this problem to the nursery carer to handle, I think they can handle well rather than me as Sky has no choice by that time?!
Ya! I would like to let him to try some solid food soon, before that I have to do some solid food preparation first! Any good ideas?
Kei Kei starts to use training cup after 6 months old. She used Combi Step 2 first and I changed to Step 3 a few days ago. She loves to drink water with the training cup.
She even drinks 3oz when using Step 3 for the first time. Yesterday, she totally drinks about 5oz water. She always smile happily when I take the cup to her. However, I need to change the diaper more frequently.
If your BB drinks too few water, I suggest you to let BB drinks more frequently. Maybe you can try to cook some vegetable soup, such as apple. Some BB don't like the taste of water.
I will try it out later as Sky is really hate to use milk bottle! He is bitting the bottle nipple or used his tongue to reject it when I fed him by milk bottle! It's waste of mama milk!
I was rest till now when I was pregnant for 7 months... because my job is contract based! Recently, one of my friend was introduced me a job, & I was fullfil their requirement, so... deal! Their are good to concern about my new baby & give me some times to settle down my baby then only start to work lo!
I will start to try some solid food before I get start to work, otherwise it seem has no time to prepare & try it except weekend.
Same as Strawberrys, I also bought the Combi Stage 2 cup first - but Lulube didn't like that one. So I switched to Stage 3 when he was 5 months old. He took some time to practise using it coz' at first the milk/water would leak out from his mouth and he would choke. I suggest to watch BB very carefully and help him take the cup out after he's taken a sip.
Lulube was very stubborn - we even tried those special Medela bottles but he insisted on STARVING and waited for me to come home. (Well, not exactly totally starving, but took only a few ounces of milk over the whole day). The most he can take in is by the Combi Stage 3 cup, but still, it's very little. So in the end, I gave in and changed my job to part-time instead!
For Sky, I think it should be better coz' he'll be having solid foods at the same time. Every baby is different. Maybe he'll adapt easier too. All the best!
